Jolka – The Jolka Experience [SECT6]

JOLKA - The Jolka Experience (Front Cover)

olka is a new project and moniker for fabled Croatian producer Luka Baumann. Another techno luminary borne of adversity, he has for some years now into the present, graced the community with his works. If Sect 2 further demonstrated his known credentials, Jolka now changes pace and perspective with four pieces of lush, warm chord-driven techno to move our feet and minds into further uncharted territories. Be prepared for further Jolka projects from both sides of the Atlantic, once again following those original principles to demonstrate techno music as a state of mind and attitude.

As Snapshot’s catalogue grows, so too does the quality. The modest label hits us with five new tracks by Johannes Volk (also known from his works on Lifeworld and Jeff Mills’ 6277 label) with a heavy Detroit minimal feel, instantly reminding us of vintage Robert Hood productions built of only the bare essential elements required to move ones body.
