Africans With Mainframes return with ‘The Sound of Something Ending’, a monstrous three track EP full of heart-pounding, dirty industrial styled acid house in the way that they can only do. Along with the title track, ‘The Pleasure Seekers’ and ‘98.6’ throw down some seriously heavy energy.

There’s a little bit of everything on this five track EP, ranging from elements of classic house and techno to downtempo electro.
New Jamal Moss release, with his enigmatic Hieroglyphic Being guise, on London’s excellent Alter label. A highly unique sound that draws from a melting pot of influences such as Acid, Chicago House, Industrial and New Age music, which is produced through primitive means.
The debut LP by Innergaze is chock full of rugged hand played analog synths lines, primitive drum machines, haunting vocals, and psychic jewelry. Call it synthwave, call it punk, call it “metaphysical body music” or at this juncture whatever one sees fit, but this duo’s music goes beyond naming names for the sake of it.The title track ‘We Are Strange Loops bubbles at a slow, hazy drug induced bpm, while Illusions, with it’s distorted almost guitar-like synth lines and stripped down 808 programming, brings things right back to the dance floor. The ideas and feelings executed here are a direct outpouring of what happens when the machines are turned on, played and recorded.
Kepeslap is the project run by ImiAFan and Makina Girgir. The “Power And Darkness EP” displays their recent work made thru Interweb between Slovakia and France. This time a 5 tracks presenting synthpop tunes with an electro and darkwave touch.
The first release on this new label, Exploration Records, is coming from the German techno master, Johannes Volk.

Detroit beat down & Chicago oldschool house inspired house cuts. Eight tracks and four locked grooves of raw and diverse House music from the inimitable STL. Constantly changing the game, he nods to KMS style rave with the nasty synth licks of ‘Dark Energy’, while ‘Like This’ nods to earliest Chicago House with wickedly ’80s sounding stabs followed by two minutes of rave-starting air raid sirens. Getting trickier, ‘Don’t Follow Me’ is a pure and deadly piece of drum programing magic.
Andy Blake gets back to basics with a 2nd installment of his all-analogue, hardware-powered ‘Cave Paintings’ workouts. The vibe is meaningfully rough and ready, the A-side capturing a locked-in drum machine pattern and mental reversed synthline synced in tangled, captivating copulations, whereas the flipside gets loose with proper Chicago-meets-UK jack patterns.
“Elevate” serves up a slice of deep jacking house from the New York producer, Jon Cutler. On the remix duties we have up and coming dj/producer Victor Casimir who keeps it true NYC style, along with Marlon D and Doc Link from Chicago who rounds of the package with some raw drums and neo-soul.
