Doctor Vinyl announced the second release of Boubastar aka Sebastien Bourbonnais. A mixed bag with 3 distinctive colors and sounds. ‘Tesla Versus The World’ goes into E-dub techno versus melodic house mode, while ‘We-R-Reborn’ is as sublime menacing melodic techno cruncher, but the standout of this release is ‘Third Mountain From Our Last Encounter’.
Desolate – The Invisible Insurrection [FAUXPASLP001]

Breathy, atmospheric and yet dynamic electronics on this debut LP byDesolate aka Sven Weisemann , celebrating Fauxpas Musik’s first anniversary. The dark but dynamic sounds of Burial and the spherical spacey atmosphere of Boards of Canada seem to be basic inspiration for Desolate. The album includes nine tracks in total ranging from deeper to more ambient compositions and as a bonus you get a CD version thrown in with two bonus tracks!
Ever Vivid – Sketches Of My Life EP [OMR-EP1]

Four tracks of deep techno and electro produced by Nick Dunton, one half of The 65D Mavericks. This EP represents a bit of a departure from his hard-edged 65d style, and brings four beautiful tracks steeped in soulful imagery. It’s all classic Detroit style techno on here ranging from solid sweet dub techno to more string laden electro tracks with beautiful spoken voices. ‘Lost Love’ is absolutely the winner but all 4 tracks are top notch
