Brooks Mosher’s return on Dolly with three hot new tracks, with his trademark analog synths and catchy hooks all present, effectively shape-shifting between moody Detroit / classic Chicago house and just plain & uplifting comtemporary underground club music.

News first surfaced over a year ago of Move D collaborating with Juju & Jordash on an analogue heavy live project entitled Magic Mountain High with the added promise of Workshop released material to follow. Several illuminating festival appearances and many months later and the Workshop label finally present The Schnitzel Box Vol 1, with three untitled productions from the trio that ensure the wait was worth it. Granted the freedom of the A Side, the opening track is allowed the time and space to incorporate both brooding analogue drone and sprawling key laden melodic glisten. Flip over and “Untitled 2” is quicker off the blocks, swiftly settling into a fizzing house jam rich in warm colour and tone and driven by crisp Roland rhythms, whilst the final arrangement is surely the most eminently danceable with yet more warm analogue patterns and Hitchcockian synth drones worming their way around a skipping techno beat.

From the Beautiful Granville Records archives, Tevo Howard Recordings is presenting this 12th digital release as the original recordings of the album Mind Blowin’ Lady by Flo Crew (For Lovers Only). Here included, are 4 demos and 4 early recordings, which are to remain as the staple sound that crafted the label (Beautiful Granville Records). The 4 demo recordings are the original actual first recordings of these individual compositions fed through a simple mastering sequence. All other recordings here are well in the same, but are not the very first recordings, rather edits made circa 2009, and then fed through a simple master.

The first release on this new label Udacha is coming from the mysterious Russian producer A5. The EP includes four deep, melodic house tracks.

An epic Journey into the deeper shadows of Winter. Echo 106 will take you there, where snow conceals, nightfall comes early and unwelcome visitants hunt you. 6 songs, not just tracks, that are a perfect soundtrack to your innermost toughts. Lux Rec had compiled this selection out of several tracks, new and from the archives, and delivers again some damn fine music.

Meschi has been putting out a series of records that take in a large and varied breadth of house music ranging from deep to jack, with the ‘Light Wave Theory’ as his best work to date.

Amazing 3 Ron Hardy edits straight from the basement… A1 brings ‘I Need you’ from Sylvester, more than 7 minutes of pure maddness. On A2 we get the brillant & timeless ron hardy mix of Robert Owens cult track ‘your mind’. On the B an obscure track called ‘Hardy goes acid’.

Tevo Howard’s second Buzzin’ Fly release after his successful debut The Age of Compassion last year. Three tracks that make up the Monument EP are a near perfect example of Howard’s various strengths as a producer, though “Conditional Love” is an undoubted highlight. The track bumps along with a gloriously quirky quality, its warm analogue groove embellished by an array of delightful percussive and rhythmic touches.

Next FXHE Records 12″ with contributions from Omar-S and a massive techno track by Patrik Sieren.

Patrice Scott kicks off the 2012 release schedule in proper fashion with the Orbital Bliss EP – Keeping the Sistrum sound true and setting the tone for another year of quality output. We are treated to cool, smooth, futuristic cuts that pay tribute to the wonders of the cosmos. As always, the sounds are carefully crafted and slowly evolving, treating the listener to a refined palette of rhythm and melody.

Four mystery tracks, very reminiscent of the early Ferrispark Records releases. Super trackee, simple, gritty & emotional sample based Detroit house.

Hailing from Dusseldorf, Garben Eden hits Anton Zap’s Ethereal Sounds imprint with three fresh, exciting and interesting house tracks. The percussion in “Tune In Drop Out” ticks delicately, paving the way for sweeping, funk-tipped pads that blanket the entire beat. The bass line walks its way through shimmering pads, heavenly voices plotting a path amongst staccato congas that flow directly into your head. “B With U” moves you with a stuttering and chaotic composition. Garben works the madness amongst itself, using the breaks to give us shining glimpses of funk-tinged electronic music. “Meer Davon” ends the EP with a dark, undulating beat punctuated by a sporadic but prominent synth line, inducing its listener into a state of deep hypnosis.

Sound Kemystry a new outlet for the housier side of Sound Black debuts with a bang. Ikenga Project’s Snow EP features chilling vocals from both Carolyn Harding and Lady Blacktronika under her alias AkuaRising. Ikenga Project seeks to put a thaw to winter ice with hot tracks from beginning to end that are deeper then the rabbit’s hole, including a remix from none other then Harley & Muscle. Ikenga Project is the brain child of Lady Blacktronika & Chris Mitchell who seem to have perfect synergy in the studio.

Prime Numbers returns with a series of remixes of Trus’me favourites, including treatments from a host of current cherished producers. The 12 features the MDR records duo Marcel Dettmann & Norman Nodge. Dettmann takes a diversion from his more familiar techno blueprint, working ”Sweetmother” into a tight house groove. Intensifying all parts of the original he creates an insistent and deeply pressured production. On the flip ”Good God” gets dubbed & smudged into a beguiling ghostly haze. Nodge completely reworks the mix stripping back & filtering the elements to fantastic effect.

Sawlin drops four cuts of grainy, scratchy sounds with his Techno Dumping EP on Delsin little sister Ann Aimee. ‘Boring Feels’ is the deepest offering, gently pushing forward as sharp percussion sounds roll off the heavy and hunched over bottom end. ‘Techno Dumping’ is a punchier affair with trippy background atmospherics and a cantering bottom end that’s paranoid as hell, whilst ‘Datamen Working’ is a dubbed out destroyer with eerie shapes craft sounds and muffled vocals throughout. Closer ‘Neid Auf Vacuum’ lets in some shafts of melodic light to its clappy house heart, with rippling keys and train-track sounds fleshing out the backdrop.

Savas Pascalidis & Joel Alter strikes back on Sweatshop with a huge, raw a dubby techno monster.
