Trevor Deep Jr – Keep On! [DSR-H003]
The third man to take the baton in Delsin’s new house aligned sub-series is Helsinki’s Trevor Deep Jr. The man himself states his sound is “somewhere between Detroit deepness, classic Chicago house and the moody soundscapes of Helsinki”, something backed up by the three new tracks offered here.
KiNK – Hand Mad [RH123-12]
New single by KiNK and it’s his first solo release since early 2011 and his debut for Rush Hour. The title track is a typical KiNK work out, which is based around an infectious disco loop and is blown to summer anthem proportions by the anthemic break-down which features Rachel Row on vocals. On the flip we find ‘Express’. A sleek groove that rides around all sounds that train: horns, whistles, train tracks, you name it..
Eros – Eros 03 [EROS003]
Third and final EP from Eros, and it’s another great ep with some rare lost classics from the raw, decadent and formative birth of club music re-programmed for modern floors. Naughty, haughty edits coming with the proper late ’80s Sheffield-Chicago warehouse vibes. Rocking drum machine chops and Inner City vibers on the A-side, Hardy-esque edits and amyl-huffing happy-happy vibes on the flip.
VA – Tri-State EP [CO001]
The Corner is a new imprint from Anthony Parasole. The concept is complete D.I.Y. like the great street labels of the nineties, from Nervous to Rawkus – music with no boundaries! The first track up, ‘Cuttin’ Headz (Tribute)’ is by Nor’Easter which is an ode to the interlude; a tribute track to early nineties Hip-Hop! ‘Times Like This’ by Dj Qu is a fresh, driving, deep and forward moving percussive dance floor thumper. Then there is ‘Tri-State’ by Nor’Easter, a gritty NY Hip-Hop track.
