Andy Ash – Dance [FOTO002]

For Foto/s second vinyl release Liverpool-based producer and swept fringe sporter Andy Ash supplies 2 tracks of dancefloor pressure. The A-side ‘Dance’ combines deep detroit synths with driving house rhythms to devastating effect, whilst on the flip Andy gets his sample chopping gear out to cut up an 80s soul number into a grooving pitch-down banger for ‘Mason In My Basin’.
Jay Haze – Bittersuite Sessions [FINALE03]

Jay Haze release a new EP on the French label Finale Sessions. The EP includes 4 deep tracks with a groovy New York house feeling.
Jeff Mills – Something In The Sky Pt. 5 [SITS005]

Fifth 12 inch in Mills’ ongoing series inspired by UFOs, strange night lights, and other unexplained airborne phenomena. Four un-named tracks this time, super limited pressing with instant sell-out a certainty, so tape an X to the window if you want the Smoking Man to deliver.
Obtane – Mercury’s Influence [SG1043]

Stripped down motorik techno from Italy’s Francesco Baudazzi aka Obtane. Obtane is a part of a new breed of Italian techno producers who in counterpart to the raw, minimal (and I don’t mean M-nus minimal) techno being championed by Berghain, have created something even more sparse, crude, and menacing.
Go Hiyama – Postmodern [TPT040]

Perc Traxx with another solid techno stomper with a muddy drive and raw sounds. Droning deep atmospheric, peak time basement techno. Comes with a remix from Lucy.
Reality Or Nothing – Mixes Ep 2 [RSB09]

Darker stripped techno tracks that are actual lost tracks from ’98, now being released with remixes of Sandwell District, Silent servant and CH-Signal.

Morphology – Urania’s Mirror [ZYNTAX04]

New album from Morphology, a collaboration from Finland consisting of Michael Diekmann, who also records under the alias CRC and Matti Turunen otherwise known as Näköradiomies. Morphology fuses early electro sounds with haunting melodies to create a deep blend of atmospheric future funk.
Boris Divider – Ultralink [SEMANTICA026]

The new Semantica is a 5 tracker by Boris Divider (Drivecom), who serves an excellent combination of dark and minimalistic electro.

Alek Stark – Lights In The Horizon [TRAJECTORY1005]

Alek Stark teams-up with some of electro’s freshest talent for this potential electro hit. The original version here is a full-on workout to get down to, with agitated vocal and hard beats; while next in line is the totally sublime ‘I Can See the Lights’ featuring Victoria Lukas of Zerkalo (Heinrich Mueller & Victoria Lukas). Not to be over-shadowed however are two stealthily executed reworks from Proto 70 and Jauzas the Shining – most definitely forward thinking electro for the body and mind.

Traxx – Lifeless Future

For the first smaller jubilee of the Nation Podcast we were not sure what we should do to quench the thirst of those who are in constant need of Jakbeat.
But then Traxx was getting booked to play alongside Gene Hunt and Sadar Bahar in Amsterdam for a celebration of the early blueprints of Chicago House, and to take the people attending the show on a journey through time and space, deep into the vaults of what is considered to be the greatest musical revolution of all time.
Our own excitement for this historical event, made us go down into the basement-archives to unearth a session that was thought to be forgotten. Ripped directly straight from tape, with all artefacts and soundlevel-changes intact… Lifeless Future will draw a disturbing image of the future, when Mankind is not anymore, and all there is left in the world is sound.
We hope you will enjoy this session, and give it a repeated listen…

Darker and more sinister as all his releases before. Beats getting tighter and rougher, there’s no chance to escape. Welcome to the world of Delta Funktionen. This 2nd part of his Setup EPs brings three times dark heavy soaking techno tracks, and with the otherworldly track ‘Conflict Data’ closing the Setup.
