The German duo, Native Rush, get picked by Dutch types 4Lux to release their ‘Permanent Departure’ EP. Introducing six tracks of quality deepness, with opening gambit “Stargazer” a promising start, characterized by an ever swirling central melody of soulful keys, it’s deep house at it’s most sultry. The tone is set here and carried on through the release, with “Covered Blanket” delighting thanks to swinging syncopation, light key stabs and heavy melodic phasing. Elements of techno slickness seep through the gaps of the warm piano refrain that dominates the title track and is more evident in “What We Do”, with crisp hits offsetting the heavily phased spectral vocals and dramatic strings. A glacial rush hits on “First Glance”, the highlight of this release with heavy Detroit synth washes and spoken word samples complementing the subtle pads and barely audible hi-hats.

Let be known that this is the 10th and last release on Beautiful Granville Records, as the label will be closing it’s doors. At conclusion, we are proudly presenting 4 versions of “DUSA”, which represents the beautiful soul of the music that we Chicagoans have loved and cherished all these years. Please join in our celebration of house in this gentle banger with Tevo Howard, who has great hope that the track will move you timelessly !
Thank you Tevo Howard and thank you Beautiful Granville. Hopefully this will not be the last.

New output from the Skudge factory. ‘Below’ is a brand new side of refined diva haunted techno, while ‘Phantom’ bites like it was designed specifically to turn Berghain inside out.

Strahil Velchev a.k.a. KiNK presents “Tracks From The Vault Vol. 1”. Five compositions, produced between 2003 and 2009, all showcasing the more experimental side of the Bulgarian music geek.

Examine delivers Snejl’s 17th number, as an authentic masterpiece for any music lover. ‘Random Facts’ represents a perfect example of sound research, massive groove and detroitish chords. ‘Essential Reconstruction’ gets that floating atmosphere a solid dub track can deliver. Subtle textures surrounded by an aura of warmth are somehow reconstructing the whole track from the beginning to the end. ‘Artificial Consciousness’ is a beautifully fresh, deep techy tune . Its warm sounds deliver the perfect touch of soul which is floating towards your ears and all your deepest senses.
