New release on Logos Recordings. “Forbidden Planet” from Norman Chung includes three classic melodic Detroit influenced tracks in the spirit of the Macedonian label.

Two of techno’s real heavyweights join forces in an extended, spaced out dub session in the next Figure SPC. Heiko Laux & Steve Rachmad presents “The Broken Cup”.

New Kanada presents a collection of superbly deep and tight house tracks by Seuil. All three cuts here are made for the long mix; blending elements of classic house, deep techno and random dopeness into a very modern whole.

Dave Huismans aka 2562 is now focusing on his techno-not-techno project A Made Up Sound, with this first release on Delsin will probably be damaging dancefloors worldwide, finding fans with both oldschool technoheads and newschool bassjunkies.

3024’s milestone 10th release arrives with 2 brand new Martyn tracks. ‘Lefthander’ clatters in on heavily filtered drums, flickering high hats & garbled radio transmissions before a carousel synth melody breaks through the percussive murk accompanied by a roaming bass line that prioritises restraint over bludgeon. Steam age industrial monolith ‘Shook Up’ swaps slink for haunted metronomic brutality, snapping quickly into focus first with relentless kicks before bass akin to an Atari2600 playing Berghain looms over the clouded horizon.

New release from XDB aka Kosta Athanassiadis on the new sublabel of Frustrated Funk, Harbour City Sorrow.

Four excellent house cuts from the house legend Kerri Chandler taken from Madhouse Records “Stratosphere E.P.”
The Copenhagen electronic music venue Culture Box presents Culture Dox 005 featuring Regis (UK) and Function (US) from Sandwell District.

New label from Horizontal Ground recording Artists ‘Szare’ (HG02 / HG04) with some subtle atmospheric heavy & metallic percussive techno/house cuts.

Quality extended player from Smooth Agent Records featuring dope cuts from the Nebraska who brings the super sick “Green Marimba” that’s as much house as it is dirty tech, James “Black Star” John’s “Techers Untitled”, & South Africa’s Blaq Soul who finishes the 12″ with “Down To My Root”.

Manchester-raised and Berlin-based producer Tony Lionni will release his debut album, As One, this fall on Freerange. Though he’s been tinkering with music for roughly two decades, Lionni’s career took off in 2008 with a slew of 12-inches on respected labels like Mule Electronic, Wave Music and Aesthetic Audio. He’s been extremely active since his debut, releasing dozens of tracks in under two years, including the euphoric crowd-pleaser “Found a Place” on Ostgut Ton (reworked here as “Found Another Place.”) As One boasts all new tunes by Lionni, and features a guest appearance by Ferrispark deep house artist Marvin Belton.
