Coppice Halifax & Ohrwert – Parallel Harbors [OH#Six]

‘Parallel Harbors’, the sixth album on Other Heights connects Coppice Halifax and Ohrwert. Coppice Halifax’s ‘Acres’, which have already been wandered on OH#Three, now return with their rough and dry subtleness, whilst Ohrwert takes his dubbed-out productions to strengthen this to a solid album.
Nick Dunton – Between Worlds [SFBSF002]

Surface re-emerges from the murky depths of Londonshire with part 2 of the new sub division ‘Beneath the Surface’. Between Worlds sees Sandwell District team up with Nick Dunton with an ep dedicated to long time friend and Nicks fellow maverick Richard Polson R.I.P. The A side sees Nick delivering his trademark emotive sounds.. lush harmonies, deep drones and echoing stabs line the track whilst the phasing drums, keys and melodic sub bass keep the journey moving beautifully towards a crescendo of harmonic drifts. On the flip long time friends of the label Sandwell District strip back the layers with a special mix for Rich.

VA – Axiom [TH002]

TransHuman presents their second release “Axiom” in a mini Lp 12”. The TransHumans and Arcanoid present 5 new tracks, that transmit perfectly tension, abstraction and Techno quality, giving the necessary axioms to make a hopeful journey of transgression between classic sounds and new mutations with IDM influences, broken rhythms, cyclic and hypnotic bass, contrast of textures and trapping melancholic melodies. Sowing Paranoia presents their first work for this label, with a track that combines the influences of European Techno-Dub, with epic melodies, developing into a cosmic journey.
Jerome Sydenham – Bad Dog [APT014]

‘Bad Dog’ shows Jerome exploring an experiment in thoroughly inspired Chicago House flavoured Techno. Lake Michigan’s chill runs all through the bass, hats and snares. A-sides don’t come much better than this. Completing the A-Side is, ‘Rabid Dog’. This is some foam – mouthed Techno with a lighter hint of old-school Chicago. One B-side, ‘Good Dog’ is a classy tune complete with Detroit stabs that get the Jerome treatment and a heavy dose of perfectly tinged 909 hats, that slice right through the mix.
Sawf – Unrhythm [TPT044]

The 2nd single from Sawf’s debut album ‘Flaws’, on Perc Trax. ‘Unrhythm’ features Marcel Fengler with his remix of ‘Unrhythm’ on the A side with Perc Trax favourite Go Hiyama remixing ‘Sfika’ on the B.
Hieroglyphic Being – Primitif Nous Sommes [MFMCD012]

Aboriginal, new-age inspired rhythmic jams from Jamal Moss. Quite abstract in parts, but right on the ball with fresh rhythms and influences.
VA – Daryl Cura: Selector Series One [MATHEMATICSCD009]

Mathematics first official mix CD, compiled by fellow Chicagoan Daryl Cura, is a retrospective that showcases the deep sound it continues to champion today ranging from deep techno, atmospheric acid tracks, experimental electronic jazz, electro and house influences.
Solvent – Latch, Fasten, Secure [MRX019]

”Latch, Fasten, Secure” is a new 3-track 12” by Solvent, for MinimalRome. Solvent debuts here a new approach, delivering 3 tracks of pure Bunker/Rephlex-style acid, monotonous and pounding. ”Fasten” is the most straight-up acid track present, nothing but 707/606 percussion + x0xb0x squelch. ”Latch” and ”Secure” are more dark, abstract, dirty. ”Secure” is epic madness, clocking in at over 16 minutes; at times slow and prodding, elsewhere growling furiously in sheets of distortion.
Frank Martiniq – Golden Dusk (Scott Grooves Remixes)[METISSE04.5]

Two different Panther Versions by Scott Grooves & Kataconda for Frank Martiniq’s “Golden Dusk”.
