Modularz returns with another split 12″. The Revisited EP opens with the wonderfully unhinged techno of “Revister” by Developer. Also on the A-Side is a boasting remix of Developer’s “Edificio” by the aforementioned Silent Servant, which chugs along with rasping hats and cavernous low frequencies. On the flip side, Fanon Flowers presents the moody late night jack of “Prado Obscuro” and this is accompanied by the thick loopy melodies of Developer’s “More Seduction”.

New York’s dream team, Eamon Harkin and Steve “OneAuff” Raney, return with a three tracker of floor-friendly deep house and techno. “Workin and Steamin” sets the vibe right, combining haunting vocals with a chugging deep house groove. Building onwards, “Shakes On” is a melodic and moody bit of NYC house that proves once and for all why these two are destined for classic status. Rounding things out is a dark and driving dancefloor reinterpretation of “Shakes On” by Glasgow’s Naum Gabo (JG Wilkes of Optimo fame and James Savage). Their version is faithful to the original, yet it twists the vibe into a moody, motorik techno groove sure to fill the dancefloor.

Gunnar Wendel, the producer best known for his work under the Kassem Mosse moniker debuts the Seltene Erden pseudonym, with the four tracks here lavishly deep explorations. The shimmering slo-mo dub of “Northen Rae” gets things on the A-Side to a stunning start, complemented by the crackly ambience of “Bayan Obo”. Flip over for the Theo-esque rhythms of “Kvanefjeld” and perhaps the most breathtaking of the lot – the intensely relaxing, beatless soundscape of “Hoidas Lake”.
