Stefan Tretau – Whatever Happened [ST01]

Stefan Tretau returns with this mighty fine techno 3 tracker on the new ST imprint. Two melodic Detroit inspired bangers (title track Whatever Happened and Lily), while EqF kid is on the more minimal modern darker house side.

Jellphonic ft. Zacky Force Funk – 100 Snakes [CCrown01]

Clone has always been a deliciously on-point label, reminding us not only of what we should have listened to first time round via their unparalleled reissues, but also of what we might just be listening to next. I know next to nothing about Clone Crown Limited’s raison d’être, but on the evidence of this release, they are intent on slowing down the BPMs and ratcheting up the funk.
Anton Zap – I Get No Kick From Champagne [ES001]

Russian producer Anton Zap on his own imprint Ethereal Sound recordings. ”I Get No Kick From Champagne” Be sure to check out this party builder! ”Air” Another ethereal cracker for more late night jams with some funky bassline and tight drums. Perfect if you feel like changing the direction of your party. ”Velo” Absolutely stunning track with warm synths and an 80’s touch to it.
Legowelt – Gardens Of The Ghetto [CR1246]

The official follow up to Legowelt’s ”Vatos Locos” LP, last years magnum opus/tour de force/piece de resistance etc (did we loose your attention yet?). Ever since the inclusion of these tracks on the extremely limited (and partially withdrawn) Vatos Locos CD – we’ve had many requests to put them on vinyl. Who are we to fly in the face of popular demand? So here it is, on glorious virgin black vinyl in a gorgeous sweet ‘n’ sober sleeve. Inside you find four tracks of patented deep(house) jakking Wolfers madness .. Two bangers and two intropersective low-ridin’ rolers. Not only great for ghetto gardening and home improvement, but also for workin’ up a sweat on the dancefloor.
Patrice Scott – Distance Against Time [SIS011]

Sistrum steps into 2010 in proper fashion, as Patrice Scott brings forth his latest sonic artwork in the form of the Distance Against Time EP. Picking up where his acclaimed Excursions EP (SIS010) left off, the three cuts featured here forge ahead into the depths, rewarding those with a conscious ear for quality electronic sounds.
Daniel Wang – The Balihu Bootleg Ep [RH108X]

Final Daniel Wang release on Rush Hour, incl. 6 tracks not on the recent compilation. The Balihu Bootleg EP is the final release in the Best Of Balihu series on Rush Hour. This 6 track EP holds two unreleased tracks (!) and four early works and b-sides.
Theo Parrish & Billy Love – Melloghettomental EP [SS038]

Melloghettomental is a limited edition, four-track, 2×12″ EP sung by Detroit soul singer Billy Love and produced by Parrish. “So I called Bill since we hadn’t recorded in a while,” says Parrish. “He came by and I started playing ideas for him and these four happened that day. Full length coming.”
Peter Van Hoesen & Donato Dozzy – Talis / Into The Red [CURLE024]

After Thomas Brinkmann’s first new EP since long, it’s now time for the second Curle offering of 2010. Donato Dozzy has been a long time favorite of us, with his unique hypnotic sound, that you can hear on his releases for labels such as Orange Groove, Elettronica Romana and Aquaplano. In our humble opinion he’s one of the best Italian techno artists around. Peter Van Hoesen on the other hand has been a long time friend of us, being also from Brussels, the home of Curle. He is one of the artists that will certainly have his big breakthrough during 2010, with the upcoming release of his debut album.
Luciano Pizzella – Duplicate EP [SNEJL014]

After a few much loved ep’s including Estroe’s – Knetter and a remix pack featuring artists such as Christian Malloni and Ludovic Vendi, Snejl is back with a 2 tracker coming from the deep South of Italy, from Luciano Pizzella. Remixes from Estroe and Taho.
Radiq – Mo’ Roots [PHP043]

Cio D’or – Die Faser Part Three [PRG010]

With the new album on Prologue, Cio D’or and her ‘Die Faser’ release feels as a natural progression for a woman who certainly has established her own atmosphere and style. Die Faser Part Three includes remixes from Milton Bradley, Pendle Coven and Samuli Kemppi.
Morning Factory – Forgotten Moments [YORE022]

Yore starts the new year off on the good foot with a four-tracker from the Dutch Duo “Morning Factory” that’s remarkably accomplished for a first release. Expertly manning the controls are two gentlemen from The Netherlands, Jean-Pierre van der Leeuw and Jozef Lemmens, who clearly produce a high-octane electronic body music that’s timeless and fresh
