Credit 00 aka artist and producer Alexander Dorn is our next guest in the Hipodrome. He is going to play in Bohemian Flow (Sibiu) on January 16th, 2015 and Control Club (Bucharest) the next day, January 17th.

Alexander is an integral part of the Dresden tribe Uncanny Valley and is the supervisor and curator of Rat Life Records, an Uncanny sub-label that is trying to channel some of the rawness and imperfection that characterised EBM, industrial and Proto-house and techno.

He is native from Leipzig, but developed his passion for synthesizers and drum machines after moving to Dresden in 2000 to study fine arts. He quickly made himself a name as a DJ, who is just doing his own thing and got popular for that reason.

For his own music he’s inspired by cannibal movies, number theory and birds. Still, his music is not easy to pigeonhole. After all, he loves Synth Wave, Electro, Afro, Kraut, Cosmic-Disco, Italo, Miami Bass and other Proto stuff – a lot of machine music.

Alexander has released some great tracks and edits on Uncanny Valley and Rat Life, on the new Bordello A Parigi side-label Bitter Moon, has collaborative works with Jacob Korn, Massimiliano Pagliara and SneakerDJ. His latest creation is a collaboration with Dresden artist Vogelmenach and will be released soon on the next Nation compilation.
