‘Fever’ is a concept album from 2562 aka Dave Huismans released on his fresh and new label When in Douby. The third long player coming from Dave is his disco album: a thorough reinterpretation of underground disco music from the mid seventies to the early eighties. All based on one simple rule: every single sound, from the smallest background shiver to the most obese sub bass, originates from a disco record – no additional synthesizers, drumcomputers or other samplesources involved – but this is genuinely new and retro-free music that respectfully flips its sources in a way nobody can recognize them.

Affectionate house grooves ranging from deep to high energy upbeat on this double 12″ from the Romanian Cosmic TRG. As he moves away from his dubstep/funky roots, he heads more towards 4-floor techno and house. Yet, he keeps his crisp drum programming and sharp synth lines, which makes his productions sound fresh and gives them a future feel.

This marks the label’s 50th vinyl release! Here Japan’s Takeshi Kouzuki showcases more of his classic Chicago influenced style while keeping his sound fresh for today.

Debut release from Joe Drive on Mathematics, with a splendid EP of intelligent house and techno. “Vanguard” opens with an atmospheric groove followed by “Azimuth” & the deep acid cut “Towards the light”. “The Uranus effect” starts the flip before “A zenith criteria” & ends with the bangin “RD-2452” .

The second release from John Heckle coming on Mathematics Recordings. His perfect style of deep house is shown on the title track and ‘Forgotten Lights’. ‘What Once Was’ and ‘Ahead of Time’ on the flip reminds us of classic Chicago & Detroit sounds.

A.P. aka Andreas Peterson released on his own label, Ghost Sounds, a very experimental album, based in (dark) ambience with rhythmic patterns oriented among idm, electro and triphop. Inspired by asian horror movies and by David Lynch’s films ”Lost highway” and ”Mulholland Drive”.

Ryo Murakami lunches a new label Panrecords. The first release is a 4 track EP, with very deep and slow beats, dub track from start to end. The EP contains a remix from Stereociti, which has also a deeply atmosphere.

The final part to the Mokira trilogy. ‘Manipulation Musik’ is the darkest and most cinematic piece on this collection of EPs. Delicate manipulated melodies and melancholic strings moves in and out of a crackling and distorted soundscape, telling an experimental sound tale with a sad ending. On b-side Redshape makes a remix solely using sounds from the original.

The second part from the series of Mokira’s experimental dub/drone. Metallic bursts of sound hits like waves on an Irish shore in autumn. Kept together by a solid bassline and a fragile melody ‘Axis Audio’ is an excursion in beautiful sounds. On the b-side, Echospace makes you dance. It is distorted, it is minimal, it is raw and last but last not least, it is oh so funky.
