VA – The Amazing Run In The Victory Boogie Woogie Tunnel [VXX-001]

Boogie Woogie NOW! is an ode to the Victory Boogie Woogietunnel and the new connection it creates between The Hague and Rotterdam. Boogie Woogie NOW! was conceived by David Schoch and the creative team behind culture podium PIP Den Haag. Together with artists from The Hague and Rotterdam they developed a light installation, with which they show their interpretation of the boogie woogie. The installation is by David Schoch, Jorick Mulder, Polo Vreedenburgh and Jeroen Meijer of PIP The Hague. Light and installation artist Philip Vermeulen adds 2 of his works. The music has been specially composed by DJs and producers Alden Tyrell and I-F, 2 leaders from the electronic music scene of The Hague and Rotterdam. The whole is introduced with a poetic ode to the Victory Boogie Woogietunnel, by Steven van Lummel, word artist from The Hague, and Dean Bowen, until recently Rotterdam’s city poet.

Endfest – Mariahoeve EP [CCR002]

Cobra Club’s second release, Mariahoeve EP comes directly from the magic hands of Endfest. The EP is  supported with amazing remixes by Mark du Mosch and Dj Overdose as Rotterhague. Meeting Mr Magpie on the A-Side starts it of by hitting you hard with a straight up Gloomy beast of an Electro track, the remix by Mark Du mosch takes this track to another dimension stretching it out and adding his much loved vibe to it. On the B-side the dreamy and at moments even poppy Electro jam makes you want to take Bus 53 straight to the sandy shore of Scheveningen. Dj Overdose’s Rotterhague remix flips it into a street version that has more of a link to harbour of Rotterdam than the beach of Scheveningen. Both sides come with a short version of the full length track ”Drank”.

Sterk Water – Marie EP [CCR001]

This is Cobra Club Records with their first ever release. The Marie EP, featuring two originals by The Hague youngsters Sterk Water sporting repetitive minimalism, Dutch lyrics, early 80’s electronica and lo-fi minimal wave on Marie and Zonder Te Voelen. Legowelt and Betonkust are on remix duties. West-coast legend Legowelt obviously closed his curtains for this pitch dark mix for Marie and Betonkust makes you want to put on your ugliest pair of sunglasses with his trancey translation of Zonder Te Voelen.
