Jaime’s take on futuristic chi-town influenced house is present across the selections. Written 21 years ago, the music is more relevant that ever. Serene galactic themes and time travel optimism permeate the collection: the music tells tales of optimism rather than the bleak images carved by other similar compositions of the time.

Jaime Read is something of an unsung UK legend. ‘Relief Sevensixty’ is a collection of Read’s rarer tracks that have appeared in a roundabout way, on a legendary Chicago label in a tale that has by now been widely documented. Across 4 tracks this EP shows what a dynamic producer Read is, the music contained within has a depth and maturity and of course it’s some funky as, futuristic, space Techno that sounds like it’s just escaped the warp drive and landed here on earth and implanted itself in our eardrums.

For Those That Knoe: A new label from the UK focusing on under the radar tracks recorded by unsung heroes, ripped from dusty DATs and lovingly re-mastered and pressed onto vinyl for likeminded people and music collectors alike. Jaime Read as LHAS is one of the unsung heroes on the UK house scene, initially making house music brimming with Chicago jazz flavours and disco tendencies in the mid-90s. Deep from Jaime’s archives come three funk-filled melodic analogue jams, all with their own unique character yet still encapsulating Jaime’s individual take on Chicago jack.

Strong track from L.H.A.S. Inc. (Jamie Read and Felix Dickinson). Analogue synths and vintage drum machines rock along with an infectious old school style reminiscent of the early sounds coming from Chicago and New York in the late 80’s early 90’s. On the B side Phoreski delivers a remix that takes the track to another level, darker haunting synths and a robo vocal asking, ‘Do you like the way you feel, will you dance with me’.

New release on Housewax, this time by Jaime Read who has been releasing deep house & techno since the mid-nineties. Here 4 classic Chicago/NY inspired cuts that just have everything: the original vintage synths, drums & basslines, and a serious positive vibe.

Vibrations second release comes from LHAS, AKA Jaime Read, who is here to show all these new old-school house heads precisely where to step off. Jaime knocks out four timeless tracks.

After more than a decade of being out of the music industry, Jamie Read is back in business. Jaime Read had a few solid releases in the ’90s and a trickle of collaborative material with Felix Dickinson as L.H.A.S. Inc. (short for Larry Heard Appreciation Society). “Never The Future” EP finds Read picking up on a diversity of sounds that his solo work afforded him.
