‘Mirage’ is a musical phenomenon that arises in the atmosphere due to refraction and total internal reflection of analog sound rays at the boundary between layers of trance of varying density, tribal ambient, and futuristic dub. Thanks to this effect, the observer sees imaginary images of distant objects that are normally hidden behind the horizon, as well as their distorted shapes or reflections.
It’s been more than 2 weeks since Putin called for Russian troops to invade Ukraine, causing pain and suffering to innocent people. As a response to this aggressive action, Pinkman offers a new album by Russian artist LVRIN to raise funds to help those affected by the war.

Arma continues to explore the dark and wild corners of contemporary machine music via a new split 12′ featuring Lvrin and Maoupa Mazzocchetti. Lvrin occupies a sound world where blown out boxes spit out gnarled beats and slimy basslines through an overdriven sesk, with the ghosts of post punk and industrial looming over his nocturnal incantations. Maoupa Mazzocchetti has been weaving defiantly unconventional strains of electronic music. He delivers hhree rugged, body-poppin’ grooves to the B side.

Jenya Lavrinov is a young rising musician from Russia and LVRIN is the alias for the gloom side of his productions. All six tracks for this EP were made during last year under the red lights of Jenya’s home studio. As before LVRIN adheres to the one take method of recording as the best technique of dealing with the sound and with the moment. Setup for this EP in particular consisted of Akai MPC 1000, Yamaha AN200, Analogue Solutions TBX-303, MFB-Synth II, Polivoks and a couple of effects pedals.
