Acid Freq. – Direct Out [DS004]

Chupacabras presents, on his label Draconian Steps, the final release of his alter ego Acid Freq. This includes 6 over driven analogue tracks to nowhere. These were the final recordings before leaving London for the Thanet Coast with the exception of the digital bonus “Thursday Night”. The recordings embrace feedback, distortion, overdrive and experimentation. Mindless repetition for mindless times.

Chupacabras – S/T [LIES153]

London via NYC Chupacabras has been making a name for himself through the years as a pillar of the underground. The story starts in Barcelona during the early-2000s DJing and becoming a resident at the famed Nitza Club, it’s here Chupacabras came into contact with the likes of I-F,  Legowelt, and Marco Passarani among others thus immersing himself in the sounds of Hague electro, Chicago House, Italo, and Detroit Techno. An integral part of the early L.I.E.S. Records crew we are pleased to release his latest ep, a four track Hague influenced affair. Slammin drums, raw acid lines and razor sharp synths and electro beats prevail through the ep, a must for the floor.

CHUPACABRAS/BROTHER Y - Falling Away

Chupacabras and Brother Y join forces to form the debut vinyl release from Tutamen. Brooklyn resident and elusive production talent Chupacabras offers up two machine-powered cosmic cuts, expanding upon the territory explored with his contributions to the Tutamen tape series and last years EP for Go Finger. The as-yet unknown Brother Y makes a first appearance with two hypnotic numbers on the B- side.

Chupacabras – I See Light [GFEP001]

All the tracks on I See Light are culled from the Forgotten tape released on Go! Finger last year with two Chupacabras cuts backed by remixes from Legowelt and Willie Burns. Those two names are probably reason enough for many to investigate but don’t make the mistake of glossing over the wonderfully strange original version of ”I See Light” from Chupacabras, which pairs strange wind instrument with an insistent raw techno groove.
