HNNY seems to save his best for Local Talk. “Noth-ing” is a single-sided salvo shot through with the sort of breezy sweetness we’ve come to expect from the Swede. The track itself fuses bubbling flutes and impassioned vocal samples with typically fluid deep house beats, a languid (but heavy) bassline and just the right amount of cosseting pads.

Crackazat with a 3 tracker on Local Talk. Nice functional house tracks ranging from 90’s influenced to more jazzy, all aiming on the dancefloor.

Toronto’s Stuart Li aka Basic Soul Unit has made not one, not two but three interpretations of Kyodai’s Moving. Some deeper & dark electronic house biz. Basic Soul Unit’s ‘BSU Basement Mix’ is a typically taut affair with the rhythm swinging, great panned synth hissing, compressed piano lines and a rumbling bassline. Flip for the ‘BSU Attic Mix’ which swings less, nailing everything to a wobbling sound system bassline and stiff rhythm track.

‘The Same Thing’ EP opens with the title track which kicks pretty damn sweet with Loleatta Holloway freestyling over strummed acoustic guitar, live-sounding bass, Rhodes jamming on top of a tight groove. There’s also a dub version included on the B-side. Last but not least, ‘The Great Sgatmi’ is a jazzy and bumpy house take with lot’s of samples perfectly balanced.

This time a change of sound for the Local Talk crew… no retro 90’s korg organs and vocal samples, but some straight machine funk with acid basslines building up the tension coming from Anaxander.

This is the first of two 12s containing one of our absolute favourite tracks from prolific producer Ken Duke aka DJ Duke. Closer was orginally released back in 1994 on Dukes Power Music Records and the amazing Klubb Kidz mixes quickly found its way into many DJs record bags, including label boss Mad Mats who rates the Flava Dub as one of his favourite deep house cuts of all time. If u ever heard Mats spinning a house set chances are big youve heard this mix blasted loud! First up for remixes duties this time is Mark Seven, Parkway/Parkwest label owner, a true DJs DJ, a passionate music lover and record collector extrodinare. The So Close Mix of Closer is deep house at its finest, an homage to the classic Prescription sound keeping it ultimately atmospheric. The Stalker mix continues on the same vibe yet develops into something more meaty and pumping during its course. Together with the original Klubb Kidz Flava Dub and the Mark Seven mixes this release got everything a true deep house head needs.

Local Talk continues to deliver the goods with a cracking new release via Irishman Shane Linehan, who gives us a real New Jersey styled house dub that really sounds amazing. With thumping beats and raw stabs its a a real house nugget for the working house DJ. But! To make the release even stronger we’ve included a classy remix from Local Talks very own Fulbert that combines the early 90s NYC and Paris underground house sounds.

Local Talk preset a Wil Maddams release, featuring some classic chord driven house tracks with warm grooves and keys and bits of vocal samples.

Local Talk presents a new 4 track EP by Deymare.. The production is smooth, based on classic 4/4 rhythm patterns and deep, futuristic synth layers.

Sweet release by Andreas Saag dropping some hot piano driven house on the a-side that has a bit of that Nights Of The Jaguar vibe with its staccato string melodies. Jazzy keys all over combine with a solid drive. Strong track!! A classy deeper cut on the flip side
