For the second release this year Weapons Of Desire presents five tracks of jackin’ acidhouse, techno & pumping bleep from Manchester man Marcus Paulson. Added to the fire are two remixes by label co-pilot Iron Blu and the mysterious Spittal Hardwick.
Manchester based DJ and producer Marcus Paulson (aka Kid Machine) debuts on MOS Recordings. Kicking of with a typical Aroy Dee-approved sunrise jam on ‘No Go Zone’ before three slabs of jacking acid take over. Ticking all boxes from thumping Chicago house to gritty acid and emotive tear jerking strings this EP has all MOS characteristics from start to finish.
Big week for Manchester’s Red Laser, with label chief Il Bosco serving up the label’s first installment of Peraceamid. Terry Perace gets into some Typhoon club style tribal on “Trip Pop 2020”, followed by his Inslaved mix of Kid Machine’s “SDM” getting some vintage Italo vibes in effect. Over on the flip, you’ll be ushered aboard the acid express on the strobed-out groove of Marcus Paulson’s “Wrecked In Utrecht” followed by the classic Chicago house throwback vibes of Ste Spandex’s “Examples Of You”.
Bohm (030303 Records) and Marcus Paulson (aka Kid Machine) deliver four classic cuts of quality house. Inspired by Manchester and Utrecht commutes, the EP sets the tone for future things to come on their Purewaxx label. Paulson and Bohm share a side each, both using the 707/101/303/106 to good use, layering pads, square basslines and deep moody pads and strings.
