The Parkwerks hit series is back with four more solid dubs for the clubs. Vol. III brings more boogie; spaced out electro disco and dancefloor bangers, and this time Parkway is thrilled to include the dub of “Got To Find” a collaboration with Nicky Benedek. As always, all four tunes are primed and loaded for the floor.
The Beat Boy Wonder returns to Parkway this fall with his brand new single “Desire” Hard to pin down, Trey’s music is part freestyle, part hi-nrg, part electro, part Italo synth-pop, but always rooted in the traditions of the NYC dancefloor.
Mark Seven gets closer to defining the sound of Parkway with the latest release ‘Vibes’. The influences are clear and present, but the sound is modern, with crisp drums, synth lines and judicious use of the handclap. Vibes come in three flavors: Sunsplash has the feel of summer heat, heavy synth bass and bouncing leads from New York to Negril. Original Vibe adds sharp synths over an electro bassline á la Freeez and Body rounds off with a smoother soul vibe.
The Parkwerks series continues with four cuts from Mark Seven confirming the less is more philosophy: minimum ingredients to create maximum effect. Layered synths, clean, crisp percussion and heavy basslines.
Parkway label returns, taking a first step into the year with a sound that’s skipping winter and spring and squares its silk synth focus on the summer. This time round it’s Trey Risque whose “A Night With The Boys” features an instantly catchy hook worthy of Yazoo which is given more weight by the detailed counter melodies and riffs that fill all the right playful spaces around Nikki’s Kathy Diamond style delivery.
