Type-303 returns to ProForm Series with a blast. This four tracker offers something for everyone. A-side starts with a solid acid banger named “Abso-Funking-Lutely!”. Second take on A-side is “Bad Moms”, a nice percussive track to make every dancefloor to jack. On B-side the mood goes to late 80’s/early 90’s italohouse-balearic-flute-Ibiza style with a track named “Midnight Sun”. This is pure niceness with everything essential in right place showcasing the talent of Type-303. The record ends with Kalle Karvanen remix of “Midnight Sun” which replaces flutes with saxophones and adds more acid into mix.

Love of Eden – Love of Eden EP [PFS014]

Finnish duo Love of Eden is getting serious straight from the beginning of their self titled EP. ‘Don’t Tell Me’ is a jackin’ acid banger made for moving crowds with some Casio RZ-1 action and vocals that pretty much sum it all up: ”Don’t tell me what is acid, don’t tell me what is not!” Instant classic! ‘Clockwork Apple’ takes things to a more mellow and late 80s/early 90s Chicago mood, just like Larry Heard & Co. have taught us. The B-side starts with another Casio RZ-1 acid banger, when Love of Eden perform ‘Transfennica’. The EP comes to a beautiful end with ‘Rocla’, which once again paints a really powerful homage to the early pioneers of acid house.

Mantra makes an entry to Finnish ProForm Series with his raw and uncompromised four track acid EP called ‘The Abyss’. Craig Stainton delivers four tracks of jackin’ pure acid techno madness in the veins of true underground. Starting with ‘Next Culture’ is a good introduction to pumping beats and a moaning 303 while ‘Beat Methods’ takes a rougher and tougher angle to acid. Just imagine yourself in a warehouse party in the morning jammin’ to some acid. On the B-side ‘The Abyss’ leads us to the deep end of the 303 or even to the bottom of the acid sea. ‘Singularity’ ends this package with great 303 lines definitely burning up the house.

New release on the Finnish ProForm Series, with tracks by Healium, Virta, Näköradiomies and CRC.  “We Want You To Understand The Future Vol. 1” is founded in the past. The cues are taken straight from Chicago, with labels like Trax, DJ International and Westbrook coursing through these Finnish veins. The record offers up four cuts of 303 painted House, with a bit of Techno pebble dash. Each artist manages to produce a clever DJ friendly work within the boundaries of the prescribed sound. Four well constructed pieces of retrospection and another vinyl feather in the ProForm cap.
