Quarion – Cobblestone EP [DPC069-1]

Quarion is back on Drumpoet with an enchanting new EP that leaves nothing to be desired. Cobblestone takes the dancer on a deep sensual journey, builds up continuously and subtly into a truly emotive peak. Sunday Night Pt. 2 tops it by captivating with rhythmic chords, which remind of the early 90ies. Jamaican Morse is a driven drum track, spiced with dubby sounds and a higly addictive beat. Once again, Quarion proves his outstanding quality.

Quarion – Busted Moniker EP [RTR016]

Yanneck “Quarion” Salvo has been relatively quiet of late, with his last 12″ dropping midway through 2014. The four cuts gently pull in subtly different directions, with the blissfully spacey synth melodies and long builds of “Lost Coordinates” being followed by the bass-heavy, deep house basement funk of “A Thousand Questions”. Flip for the relentless organ stabs, shaker-heavy grooves, twisted synth lines and bumpin’ bassline of “Burnin”, and the fantastically broken P-funk workout that is “You Were The Only”.

Quarion – Shale Gas EP [MUHK004]

The awesome analogue opener on this EP will have you reaching for the stars as Quarion opens up on the machines and shows us a new side of his super sonic persona. The 2 soul busting, groovy tracks backing the title up are so laid back that you’ll be falling over after listening in.

Jack Off presents the second release from John Osborn entitled ‘Lords Of The Last Days’. The title and the track are influenced by Arthur C. Clarke’s Sci-fi novel ‘The Songs Of Distant Earth’. On the flip side Swiss house master Quarion makes sure that the head and the feet come together with a wonky dance floor remix, keeping true to the analogue sprit of the original and adding his house drive.
