Claudio PRC is something of a techno legend who has already very much assured his own legacy, but he keeps on coming up with the goods each and every time he steps out. This time that is on the Warm Up label with a stylish and deep EP of classy techno. ‘Elliptic’ is a sparse and dubby roller with icy pads, ‘Focal Zone’ then picks up with a more busy percussive line that pans about the mix and comes in and out of focus over rolling beats. ‘Axial’ is another delightfully deft deep techno cut with only there most scant and wispy synths joining the rolling beats. An Oscar Mulero remix rounds out with more intensity.

The Curtis Electronix saga follows up with new material from its head and curator CEM3340. Despite keeping its roots firmly into the deepest depths of electro, Future Tribe EP moves slightly away from his usual purism and across the four tracks manages to strike a careful balance between beauty and austerity, harmonizing elegance and restraint with the booming energy of techno and funk.

Recall IV – Interstate [MEC085]
Recall IV is the project created by Andre Fischer that reached a massive success in the German techno scene in 1990 with the release of the single “Contrast” on Techno Drome International / ZYX Records. This was shortly followed by two more releases in 1991 (“Contrast – Part 2” and the extended play “Aesthetic”) and contributions to various compilations. Andre has been a very active techno composer and producer since the late 80’s working with people like Lars Janzik, Carlos Perón, Giora Schein & Holger Wick (Konzept), Volker Then (Friends Of Carlotta) on countless projects including Scope, Scrot, Technoline, Trust in 6, ADSX, etc. “Interstate” compiles tracks from all Recall IV singles, some old compilations and a selection of unreleased cuts and remixes.
Kerrie – Machine Alliance [TRESOR370]
Machine Alliance, the new EP by Irish producer Kerrie Anderson on Tresor Records, connects her music to the sci-fi origins of techno and electronic music in general. With inspiration from classic books and films of the genre such as The Machine Stops, The Matrix, and Blade Runner as well as modern explorations in art and philosophy like Free Your Mind and Technopoly, the EP’s title takes on two opposing but intersecting meanings.
Neel – Disco Quarantine EP [IT53]
Neel lands on Interdimensional Transmissions with the “Disco Quarantine” EP. Exploring the boundaries between genres, simultaneously pure deep techno and disco — this is rarely achieved — he continues to explore the edges with the ever propulsive title cut, and further connections with each song. Psychedelic, propulsive, subtle, perfectly produced gems ranging from hedonistic underground moments where time ceases to exist to moments of exploration throughout the cosmos. It feels like the B side opener Deep Quarantine was composed for the environment at No Way Back, though it is equally eternal and available to any floor anywhere in the world.

Founded by Rene Wise, Moving Pressure is a record label aimed to explore the immersive dialogue between soundsystem music and the human body, celebrating the profound connection of sound and movement. As the inaugural release, Moving Pressure 01 serves as a sonic diary showcasing Rene Wise’s music storytelling. Each track on the EP contributes to a harmonious blend of innovation and restraint, inviting listeners to embark on a captivating journey through the artistry of sound and rhythm. Sometimes, it’s the space between the notes that resonate the loudest.
Marcus Paulson – Unity [WOD025D]
For the second release this year Weapons Of Desire presents five tracks of jackin’ acidhouse, techno & pumping bleep from Manchester man Marcus Paulson. Added to the fire are two remixes by label co-pilot Iron Blu and the mysterious Spittal Hardwick.

Siegmar Fricke – Commercial Breakdown EP [CMF003]
From home recorded tapes in the 90s to a newly released vinyl record in 2024, The Comfort presents their third release, Siegmar Fricke’s Commercial Breakdown. Back in the year 1990, the working method of Siegmar Fricke and his contemporaries was one best described as a DIY recording process. With spare tapes, glue, scissors, and sheer determination, Siegmar sought to share his music with an audience hungry for adventurous electronic music. In an era of limited access to labels and platforms, those not conforming to commercial trends had little choice. Thus, tapes like this one, dubbed simply as “home-recordings,” circulated among DJs and friends, embodying the playful experimentation of musicians exploring unconventional sounds and even dabbling with mainstream pop sounds.
Dimi Angelis – ANGLS 013 [ANGLS013]
The 13th release of Dimi Angelis on his ANGLS label. The A side of this EP consists of two tracks, “Shadowland” and its spatial nuances catch one right at the beginning with its lasso-like loops, who won’t let go too easily as the track evolves. Highly dancefloor oriented is the track “Intergalactic”, with its mechanical noise attack, using the 909 to create suspense paired with punchy inductions. On the B side one is encountered with “Crionics”, a track which transports into a deep sonic hole, an access to full immersion, giving both tension and resolution to the listener. The strength of “Ice Warrior” resonates through voltaic frequencies and is the abstract yet wholesome conclusion to this work of art.

Lewis Fautzi’s new alias, Space Program, debuts in the scene with a deep dive into the edge of his creative and artistic mind, where new visions and ideas have been boiling for so long. A futuristic and spacial sound, emerges from psychedelic soundscapes and places the audience in an expedition to unexplored galaxies and alternate realities. Scientific Side EP is the first outcome of years and years of methodic experiences in his studio and awakens a profound sense of vitality that goes beyond the basic comprehension of music.

Disappearer – Counterfeit [MMS004]

A well balanced and versatile EBM meets Detroit Electro EP on Marcel Dettmann’s Bad Manners label by Nite Fleit. Her signature blend of high-octane techno, acid and electro shatters expectations and perfectly fits the label’s sonic playfield. Brace for a bold proclamation of sonic supremacy, emphasizing Nite Fleit’s ascent through the ranks of electronic music hierarchy.
Skudge / 543Ff – LRC003 [LRC003]
Skudge appears courtesy of Lazy Reflex Complex for the label’s third instalment. Skudge delivers two signature style cuts along with an ominous rework of ‘Departure’ by 543ff. The flip side is delivered by label head 543ff; three techno tools to make crowds move.

George from Heerd returns to the Stomping Grounds label, this time marking his debut under his new solo project George Heerd with the Acid Garden EP.
