Following on from 2024’s ”Elektronically Minded EP’ the father and son duo The Advent and Zein Ferreira return to Cultivated Electronics for the second instalment. The pair turn in 3 stomping electro bombs aimed strictly at the dance floor. The EP is rounded off with a heady, trippy remix from CE head honcho Sync 24.
Cultivated Electronics starts off its 2024 release schedule with an all electro family affair from father and son duo The Advent and Zein Ferreira. “Elektronically Minded EP” is the first of two releases scheduled on the label from them this year. For this first instalment the pair turn in two tracks of expertly crafted production that pays homage to the history of the genre with their own modern twist. The A side’s “Basic Channeling” is given remix treatment from Robert Witchoski a.k.a. The Exaltics who steps up the gears with a 4/4-esqe rework in his signature style. To close out the EP, remix duty stays in the family with a rework of “Syncopated”, a track that features on the next EP, nephew of Cisco and cousin of Zein, Torai, who shows that high end electro production definitely runs in the veins of the Ferreira family.
Introducing a new vinyl only Compilation Series from Monotone featuring some top notch producers. Kicking things off the Techno/Electro master The Advent starts things off with a collaboration with his son and this track is a beauty. This has Monotone style written all over it with hard percussion, epic synths and smooth rythyms. Next we have label boss Exzakt coming back to his form with Kreep. Classic Exzakt beats and just a driving composition added with some vocal flavor to make a solid club tune. 214 comes correct on Side B with a riding, groovy jam that will get the asses shaking. To finish things off we have the mysterious EggFooYoung with a rare appearance since taking on the Michna alias he is well known for today. This is a record that is a must have for all Electro Heads out there.
