Deep dusty ambient pieces on this new label. This is one of those things one keeps on playing over and over while working or just hanging out. Very minimalized tracks with a strong focus which results in a certain tranquility that brings a escape from the stresses and strains of everyday life.

First release on this new label that will release very small editions with post Detroit techno tracks. Inspired on the early works, but evolved into a unique 2010 version of it that probably shouldn’t be called Detroit techno anymore. However if there are is anything that comes to our mind hearing these tracks it is names such as Detroit Escalator Company and Duplex.

Piece Communications is a new designer label from two techno aficionados. They’ll not try to sell as many as possible, but just want to release music they love them self… for sure it will not everyone’s cup of tea.. but for others this is one of the highlights of the new year already! Quantec delivers some smoking hot dubby techno tracks as we expect him to deliver.

First free release on Disques poney is a collection of edits by Laura Ingalls from The Horses. Get it while you can, Volume 1 will not be available after volume 2 gets released.

Hot on the heels of MB’s recent genre-smudger, co-resident CB has put together an hour’s worth of straight-up, heads-down techno to satisfy those of you game for a bit of locked-groove action. It’s all killer, no filler, with vintage cuts from long-time favorites Beyer & Mull, Robert Hood and Andy Stott, and plenty of fresh bits from the likes of Roman Lindau, Peter Van Hoesen, Ben Klock and forthcoming guest Conforce.
COLONY is a small, friendly east London club night, put together to showcase the finest sounds in underground dance music, regardless of genre, popularity or hype.

Reincarnation is back with a debut from another upcoming italian production team, Dirty Channels. They deliver two african inspired tech jams, African Democracy and Litho. The first has been also reworked by Monocalda’s Rame into a slighty tougher workout and by Isoul8 into a deep psychedelic journey.

Deeply Uncomfortable hardly lives up to it’s name. If anything it’s soulful, moody and very comfortable. As always Mr. Grooves balances his music well between the soulful and effective dj tools.

This music works by releasing carbon dioxide gas into a batter through an acid-base reaction, causing bubbles in the wet mixture to expand and thus leavening the mixture. It is used where the batter lacks the elastic structure to hold gas bubbles for more than a few minutes. Because carbon dioxide is released at a faster rate through the acid-base reaction than through fermentation, music made by chemical leavening is called ‘quick compositions’.

“Cancel” is Duesseldorf based producer Antonelli Electr. 3’rd EP for Level Records. All tree tracks are arranged and recorded live without any edits resulting in very pure record which a magical flow. The first track is the very dense and euphoric House hymn “Hush”. “Deal” and “Cosy” are both quite stripped down House tracks which where created only on one Drum sequencer. Lowtec the man behind the label Workshop finishes the EP with his delightful rework of “Cosy”.

Dexter drops Dolly 2 with some mad old schoolish Detroit influence called 1992… this is what we would have loved to hear from Reese! With the trade mark sharp beats of Dexter injected with phat funking KMS techno (including Reese bassline). Redbox is the same recipe. Dancefloor orientated old school house and techno influences with powerful production skills.

After a particularly productive year, Tevo Howard is releasing again on his own Beautiful Granville. “Spin” includes two versions of the track. Expect again an acid house-like melancholic edge.
