Just before Christimas time, SIRS presents a collection of 16 disco edits of some knows and unknown tunes which he made whilst traveling in 2023. These are for free downloads and artists and song title are mentioned in the download file.

Slow Motion Records member and long-standing affiliate Andrea Tempo returns to the ‘A UFO’ edit series with a formidable re-imagining of Jo Squillo Eletrix’s – Avventurieri. Tempo respectfully tightens up the iconic instrumentation of the original, providing the low-end with his signature definition. Giving us more of the original’s Moroder-esque bassline in the arrangement, allowing for a rewarding release of the ever-infectious vocals from 1983 Italy.

Juan Atkin’s masterpiece compilation, the blueprint of Techno albums…. the 1993 Model 500 ‘Classics’ compilation with some of Juan Atkins’ biggest early Metroplex milestones, with some of them in exclusive remixed versions. 3 decades later Metroplex is re-releasing this collection of hugely influential tracks for a new generation to play from fresh and clean vinyl!. Just like the recent 12″ reissue series, this album has been fully remastered with all the care and attention to detail you can imagine. Tracks like ,,No UFOs”, ,,The Chase”, ,,Techno Music”, ,,Night Drive (Time, Space, Transmat)” or ,,Off To Battle” are basically techno ground zero, with the electro influence of mid-80s to late-80s Juan Atkins productions still omnipresent. 30 years on since its original release on R&S records, ‘Classics’ is still as gritty and timeless a statement as ever.

Berlin, Funkhaus based electronic record label and music studio Bright Sounds enters their 10th year of business in 2023. And this marks the perfect occasion to team up with another long going techno institution, Skudge. Starting as a record label curated by two Swedish gearheads releasing their own studio jams in the late 00’s, Elias Landberg is now recognized as one of the most steady techno producers of modern times. For Bright Sounds he crafts another batch of his impeccable flawless techno grooves. Stripped down and warm at the same time, it’s another masterclass delivered by the inexhaustible Skudge lab of functional techno.

French production duo and live act Atomic moog debuts on the Delsin Cameron series with their Programm EP, a new chapter of their vibrant modular quest, sub heavy and sparkling at the same time, sparsely arranged subtle techno jams.

After 11 releases in 14 months , MoPo EP brings Rod20 to an end (for now). Conceived during the Covid19 lockdowns, ROD’s hardware-only project brought us 53 analog machine jams recorded in a single take. Pure & raw high energy (minimal) Techno tools for those who prefer mixing instead of posing, and for those who prefer dancing instead of filming. Mo/Po EP presents a proper weird send-off with a bleep.

Acid Jerks return to Refuge with another acid weapon. Staying true to their sound, with chunky acid lines and percussive grooves, they link up with hypnotic vocals of Brillstein alongside two remixes by the legend, Alden Tyrell & Dick Johnson.

Since 2014, Brighter Days has been a part of the rich tapestry of Amsterdam nightlife – a semi-regular party promoting positivity and inclusiveness run by resident DJs Kamma and Masalo. On the back of the platform provided by the party, the duo has notched up a string of memorable club and festival appearances, a regular Brighter Days show on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM, and a memorable Boiler Room set streamed live from Dekmantel Festival. Now Kamma and Masalo have taken the next step and curated a Brighter Days compilation for Rush Hour, a collection that does a terrific job in offering up slept-on and unreleased gems – including a clutch of their own tried-and-tested re-edits – while also accurately representing the sound, style and ethos of the event that inspired it.

Chiwax presents another outstanding release by Boo Williams. “Tribute To Chicago” is Boo’s hommage to the Capital City of House Music, their artists and his hometown.

The first outing of the new label Way to France records comes from none other than Robert Johnson legend Lauer with some analog sounding nu-disco stompers. The release is rounded with two remixes by Charlie and Janthe.

Scannoir & Sneaker, aka “GOTT”, explore, transform and mutate. This unique collaboration embodies the perfect symbiosis of passion. “Die Deutsch-Schweizerische Freundschaft” is still profound and continues to have an effect. Now the two artists present their latest work: GOTT – Mutatio on the Zurich based label Mattoni Pazzi. The release includes an edit of a goth rock song by Fields of the Nephilim and one from the industrial band Sonic Violence.

Sonic Transmutations is an extended compilation album celebrating over three decades of Clone Records. Marking the 31 years – which is coincidentally the national Dutch telephone code – the 8×12 inch box set draws together veteran talent and emerging iconoclasts, transmitting a frequency rooted the imprint’s signature blend of essential dance music while journeying off into territories unknown. In a constant state of unfolding, morphing across phases of matter, Sonic Transmutations purveys an elemental energy that stands in testament to Clone’s enduring legacy and explorations of sounds and structures.

After a long and forced break, In The Dark Again returns to record stores. On “In The Dark Again 12”, Aaron J. Cunningham, Gestalt, Night Caller and Lectromagnetique deliver five mesmeric tunes between tough Electro and bitter sweet Electronica.

Juan Manuel Cidrón, hailing from Almeria (Andalusia), is a legendary Spanish synthesist who embarked on his musical journey in 1976. A veteran of analog electronic sounds, his early influences come from the Berlin School of the seventies (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, etc.) and American Minimal music. ‘SLG3’ is a long-awaited double album with four lengthy tracks (one per side). It’s the first release exclusively on vinyl in over a decade, considering that Cidrón has mainly released his recent works on CD.

Alpenmarmot – Unheimliche Landschaftsgestaltung (translates as ‘eerie landscaping’) is my new power electronics industrial acid ambient noise project, Recorded at 1500 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Wildhorn mountain in Switzerland. Unfussy sewer-synths mixed with field recordings of the local Alpine nature and infrastructure. We hear mangled rusty cable cars, crumbling mountains, unknown nocturnal creatures and ofcourse the ever so cute Alpen Marmot.
