The first release on FAKE imprint is a nice VA compilation of 10 wave, electronix and ambient tracks.
VA – Form is Vision LP [GFTDCVLTR004]
Form is Vision is a collection of music unified by the same vision but not by the same form. It’s the vision making the form, without being influenced by the form itself. Here, visionary electronic artists as Afrikan Sciences and Juju & Jordash meet cross over jazz bands like Hobby Horse and Where is Mr. R?!. The music was compiled by Autre & Two Thou, whose productions here form a bridge across different moods. The result is a synergistic leap away from genre-bound music.
VA – GMI Jam Venice [GFTDCVLTR002]
Gifted Culture collective is ready to unleash the second jam session of the announced trilogy. GMI Jam Venice comes from the filth and the mug of the abandoned ex-industrial area in the outskirts of Venice. There, Autre and Two Thou invade Hawaiian Chips’ top-notch studio, where all together ride 70’s synthesizer rarities and try to domesticate the monstrous Yamaha CS 80. This jam, inspired by the post-industrial Venetian scenario, dives between the dreams of archetypal electronic music and reminiscences of psychedelic progressive bands, giving birth to two long journeys ready to gently carry the dance floor into the outer space.
Autre – Everybody In The Past [ESP086]
Autre fell asleep in a gondola and awoke in the Krankenhaus. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. Side A’s Everybody In The Past is sharp techno aimed for the alleys of your mind — gritty, driving, and melodic combinations of blown-out drums and classic electro riffs that relentlessly sprint for a good 4 minutes before a squelching arpeggio and angelic solo kick in — tugging the heartstrings and lighting a beacon for those noble morning dancers lost at the front left speaker, channeling from the deep. On Side B, Frigo completely dismantles any expectations you might have after listening to its predecessor. An undoubtedly seductive Samba rhythm comprised of distant snares, rim shots and cowbells holds together an aggressively active bassline, a steel drum harmony and synth solo that crawl all over like a funky worm. This track is truly something special, a gift for the prodigious selector — when dropped in the deserved context, it has the potential to unlock unprecedented levels of euphoria. These two songs are as fluid as a paintbrush yet precise as a scalpel.
Autre / D_Roots – Prima / Asmr [AU002]
The second release of the relatively newborn, Berlin-based Italian label Autarchy Records offers yet another various artists release, as for the first output, the label gives light to Autre and D Roots – both producers are near to the label – and invites relevant figures of the scene to reinterpret the original tracks, specifically Hiver and Juju & Jordash.
VA – Edition 3 [MLM007]
The talented Italian producers Pietro Caprioglio aka Autre and Federico Pedron aka Xinner kicking it off with “Nebula”. An emotional piece of late night techno music full of analog warmth and heart warming depth. Autre´s “Seiryu” is an athmospheric and loopy groove monster for the deeper dancefloors.
Dresden´s Kryptic Universe delivers with “01309 Stairways” one of those georgeous and simply perfect analogue sounding dub techno tracks. Incredibly textured piece of work wich could have been already a classic since the golden basic channel / chain reaction years. Owen Jay and Brian James closing it up with “Chordless”, a mind blowing take of chord driven club material.
