Smooth yet dusty and rusty retro house on offer here from D.K. aka 45 ACP on L.I.E.S. offshoot Russian Torrent Versions. Taking an interesting change in direction from its usual choice of banging peak time techno tools. Also worth mentioning his album “Change Of Tone” was also released this year on the former. All the tracks on this release here sounding reminiscent of early nineties school Chicago house and all in rather convincing fashion.

Bookworms and Max Ravitz aka Patricia team up as Pulpo and givimg you some dusty Brooklyn haze. While it may be challenging for most dancefloors, the guts and murk of these tracks are sure to get you in the proper headspace for a night sinking deep into the couch.

Slugbug offers up a four track ep for the Russian Torrent label. While the title track is a massive electro cut sure to scorch floors. Randomer aka Rohan Walder on the Russian Torrent Versions. Of the three productions, lead cut “Side Crack Lung” is the one the more adventurous selectors will gravitate towards, with a complement of vocal samples and degraded synth lines getting racketed around the channels by a tunnelling gutter techno rhythm. “Fun In The Sun” is pure screwface techno whilst the delicate sounding “Odd” ends matters on a suitably strange note.
