Savage Grounds are CCO and Daniele Cosmo, co-owner of Lux Rec. A techno related outfit to explore a darker, noisier and more menacing sound. The EP has been realized by using only three machines. A Roland 808, a modular synthesizer and a Roland Space Echo. Every track has been recorded live with a minimum of post processing. Come over the fence and dance with the savages.
Diamond Rec present the album “In Memoriam” by Italian artist CCO aka Cantamos Saltamos. The album includes 6 original Broken Beat/Nu Jazz/Nu Soul/House tracks and 2 remixes by Vincenzo Battaglia & Vinicio Melis and Tommy Ro.
CCO played a stunning and completely live & analog set at Zukunft, in Zurich. Lux Rec asked him to reenact the set and record it once again, live. The result is an electronic music suite, filled with 808 and 707 beats, 303 acid lines and spatial sounds. It was magic to see CCO at work, as no computer was used in the process every pattern specs had to be written down on paper, and machines programmed on the run. Following the vinyl EP previously released on Lux Rec, which contained revised excerpts taken from same liveset, this CD includes the entire piece.
Lux Rec reaches number 10 in their catalogue, and for this occasion they come out with a special release. In January 2012 CCO played a stunning and completely live & analog set at Zukunft, one of the best clubs in Zurich. Lux Rec asked him to reenact the set and record it once again, live. The result is a 1 hour long electronic music suite, filled with 808 and 707 beats, 303 acid lines and spatial sounds. They decided to press 2 excerpts, Pt. 1 is 12 minutes long while Pt. 2 is 25 minutes long, and release them on vinyl as Music For Cosmonauts. It was magic to see CCO at work, as no computer was used in the process every pattern specs had to be written down on paper, and machines programmed on the run.Music for Cosmonauts is music to look at the world from outer space.
Four slices of raw Chicago House. Zurich based Florin Büchel aka CCO (Contra Communem Opinionem), has filled his flat with old school synthesizers and drum machines a few years ago, because these are the ultimate tools to make the music he likes in a way that is fun. It is liquid sensual music that sounds like machines, always looking for the feeling beyond the beat
After several releases on Mathematics as Contra Communem Opinionem, CCO presents his latest release on the promising new label Lux Rec. With his impressive EP “The Secret Life of a Transistor Bassline” CCO proves us once again his ability to space out and rock hard at the same time. It’s a nice space acid & jack 3 tracks EP.
