Comes with a patch Savage Grounds return to the never ending warpath with their new EP “Body Weight Compressor”. After a one-year break, which was used to collect ideas, machines and material, they are releasing six titles with brooding melodies, sounds from the factory, diystopian texts and authoritative marches. An unnaturally restrained chaos. Being released by Infoline Global it provides a reflection of the city they live in. We live in the dark. We have nothing to say. We are the void inside you that devours everything.
Schwarze Schweiz is a compilation, split in two records, which gathers together Swiss active musicians working in those obscure territories that have been Lux Rec playground for so long. Trostlosigkeit, Elend und Isolation. Ärger, Schwermut und Dunkelheit. Their statement to this country. Part two includes an insert with pictures by Kleio Thomaïdes (Geneva), Max Zeckau and Dominik Schmid (Zürich).
Phormix presents the 4th collection of works from various artists. Waves leds the Night elevates the exploration of the minimalist aesthetics in the soundscapes of non-trivial patterns and surfaces the artists creativity in-hand with the monastic possibilities elevate imagination.
Rough sounds burning down slowly, clashing like uncontrolled bodies in a turmoil of deviated thoughts. Lux Rec releases the first EP from Lausanne born, Zurich based musician, 808Hz. The record consists of three original tracks and one rework by Savage Grounds.
Authors of the 4th release of the Mosaique label are the project Savage Ground, known for its works on Lux Rec, Pinkman Broken Dreams and Enfant Terrible. The project hides two people – Daniele Cosmo (owner of Lux Rec) and CCO. “In not”” is a mixture of synth wave, analog distortion, experimental dance electronic music and vocals. The EP contains 4 tracks that divided the two sides of the plate into two different moods.
The new Femur release features the Swiss duo Savage Grounds, agents of a dirty, raw and miserable sound. ‘Es un flash Electronico’ is a true exercise of proximity and freshness combining mid-tempo landscapeses with stimulating accelerated bursts. The release consists of 3 original tracks and a remix by Esplendor Geometrico, which elevates the original called Ultima linea to another dimension.
Being closely connected to the label, it was only a matter of time before Daniele Cosmo was released on Pinkman. At long last, he makes his debut appearance with co-conspirator CCO as Savage Grounds. What they came up with is a tight two tracker presenting full speed, minimalistic punk electro workouts. Both tracks, while boasting with furiosity and dread, as is often the case in the Broken Dreams releases, carry an infectious groove that is guaranteed to get bodies moving in the highest gear and right into the abyss.
Savage Grounds released their first three records with Lux Rec, of which one of the members from this Swiss duo is the label boss. This new EP is the first release coming out elsewhere. Savage Grounds have created a sound of their own, a sort of post-techno which combines elements of techno, elektro, EBM, acid and industrial, but these tracks will for sure also appeal to lovers of analogue synth music. The whole EP sounds like it has been recorded in an one take synth jam, raw and fierce synth sounds for the body and soul.
Savage Grounds return to Lux Rec for the third time, with their third record. Atrocities comes after Unpleasant Music for Unpleasant People, released in 2015, and Over Fences, 2014. It is, as much as the previous 2, the result of investigations in music, live, composed with a minimum amount of instruments. The duo, comprised of CCO and Daniele Cosmo, worked with a Roland 606, a Roland 909 and a modular synthesiser. Experimenting with FM modulation and loose sequences. The result is concrete noise, anger, ghostly voices, and above all, the sheer conscience of human failures. Atrocities marks number 30 in the Lux Rec catalogue.
Savage Grounds are CCO and Daniele Cosmo, co-owner of Lux Rec. A techno related outfit to explore a darker, noisier and more menacing sound. The EP has been realised by using only three machines. A Roland 808, a modular synthesizer and a Roland Space Echo. Every track has been recorded in one take.
