Lake Haze – Intergalactic Communicationz EP [CR1292]

Next up Creme Organization is a return by regular artist Lake Haze. Following his Natural Insight EP earlier in the year comes Intergalactic Communicationz, four more fresh tracks of acid, techno and electro that is brilliantly evocative. At The Gates ov Futron is a turbulent lack track with zipping acid and a cacophony of percussion that is visceral as well as cinematic. Drexciyan Aquarium is, as the name suggest, an aqueous electro track that slithers and slides through an expansive underwater world. Poseidon’s Dream then offers a more rugged electro groove that is backed by heavenly pads and a real sense of loss in the synths. Last of all, Intergalactic Communication closes out this far travelling and intergalactic EP with a sci-fi deep house track that is filled with light, 909s and a sense that the end of the world is coming.

Cosmic Garden – Cosmic Tape Vol 1 [CREMEECLIPSE015]

The next chapter in the Creme Organization Ecplise series comes from Cosmic Garden with three original tracks and one remix from Orgue Electronique. Little is known about Cosmic Garden other than he is from Southern Italy and has had two EPs out in 2016, one on HotMix and one on Cosmic Rhythm. He heads out the blocks here with ‘Reptilian Treant’, six minutes of lo-fi deep house that is roomy and atmospheric. Lazy synths bring soul and a gentle chatter of claps and hits helps drive it along. ‘Rare Centaur’ is also way below the surface but is darker and more celestial, with turbulent bass, frantic claps and angelic chords glowing like a white light at the end of a tunnel. Dutch house and electro don Orgue Electronique then remixes ‘Reptilian Treant’ into something that is slick and serene, with metallic lines dancing above rubbery drums as big piano chords boucle up top. It is joyous and colourful and truly majestic before final track ‘Apocalyptic Moose’ takes us back down into a mournful house vibe that echoes Chicago with its roughhewn analogue textures and lovestruck chords.

Romansoff – Wrath Of Zeus EP [CR1290]

Raw Tools label boss and Bucharest based producer Romansoff is making his debut on Creme Organization in 2016. His Wrath of Zeus EP features four tracks of the sort of frayed and authentic house music that the label is known for around the world. Romansoff mostly releases on his own label but has also served up plenty of rawness on Machine Records, Mork and Bitter Moon. Bundle of Acid is the opener and is a heavy but mystic track with grainy claps and plodding drums undermining bubbling synths. It’s crunchy and spooky and really comes alive with some squiggly acid lines. The title track is more stripped back and trippy, with corrugated drums and nervy chords trapping you in a suspenseful groove before Who You Gunna Call is another rough hewn analogue monster that manges to take you down into some cavernous underworld at the same time as offering up some angelic emotions. Lastly, She Owns The Game is the most melodic of the lot, with a far sighted ripple of keys, spaced out atmospheres and muttered vocal lines all making for something that is truly from another world.

Ebony vs ‘R’ – Real Truth [J104]

Jericho One, the Creme Organization off shoot, is back with a new EP from Ebony vs ‘R’ entitled Real Truth. It features three cuts in all, one by Ebony and two by ‘R’, and all them are intoxicating techno affairs. Continuing in the label’s tradition of making modern sounds that draw on breaks and bass. Ebony goes first with Real Truth and offers a track that is both punchy and powerful thanks to its raw and thumping drums, but spiritual and serve thanks to the pained and soul infused vocal wails up top. Glistening glass pads and over sized hi hats add to the intensity of this classy rave banger. ‘R’ then serves up Focus, eight minutes of freaky and hypnotic techno with creepy voices moving about the space as distorted kicks and droning reverb brings a physical feel. It’s intense and dark and then comes Colossus, a breakbeat driven track with heavenly pads making for a grand and atmospheric headspace. Cosmic signifiers and far off pads add to the serenity of it all and will leave you with both a heavy heart and a stomping foot.

ASOK – A Mind Forever Voyaging [CRLP13]

Liverpool artist Stu Robinson aka ASOK steps up to Creme Organization with a debut full length offering, A Mind Forever Voyaging, featuring ten tracks of macho yet melodic, tender yet tense analogue house and techno. Something of a late starter, Robinson has fomented his own mystical, nostalgic, inventive analogue sound that makes you jack, as well as conjuring real emotions with his great knack for melody. This album was recorded live then edited down. “So if something doesn’t sound good it either stays in or I re-record the whole thing,” says Robinson, who used things like Maschine, tb303, analog RYTM, JX-8P, Microkorg, some plugins and “a shit load of old rave samples” to create his debut full length. All written at home over a period of a year or so, it proves the artist has plenty of ideas and more than enough skills to carry them off. All unified by a sense of emotion and kinked dance floor groove that has been picked up over the course of 25 years of living and breathing many different forms of dance music, it is an accomplished debut.

R-Zone – R-Zone 15 [RZONE015]

The mysterious but widely acclaimed R-Zone series roll on to a 15th EP now with a new four track release that is as essential as ever. Opener ‘Hired Gun’ is a tough and raw concoction with coarse, snappy snares, rough drum pings and lots of abrasive texture all making for a physical listening experience. ‘Midwinter’ is a deeper and more emotive jam with warm pads dampening down icy hi hats and busy synth work. It is fresh and original and sounds like little else, then ‘Captive’ gets all deep and space-y with smeared pads and slick metallic hits tied together with a molten acid line. Lastly, ‘Exile’ is five blissful and beautiful minutes of atmospheric, intergalactic electronic sounds that really take you to another place.

Lake Haze – Natural Insight EP [CR1289]

Creme Organization look to Portugal’s fast rising Lake Haze for a new three track EP. Solar Flames opens the release with a grand sense of sadness. Vast kicks pound below as eerie pads make for an unsettling atmosphere. When a slitting acid line comes in, the 909 pings really kick into action and the track takes off. Sinister Strike is just that, a driving and dark track with elastic bass and ravey stabs that make for physical listening. Lastly, Geisterbahnhofe is a broken beat affair that is rueful and zoned out. Full of sombre, reflective open spaces and distant electro stylings, it rounds out a varied and vital EP.

R-Zone – R-Zone 16 [RZONE016]

The R-Zone series excels at raw, inventive, off kilter club music from a range of mysterious artists. That fine tradition continues once more here with another four cuts of inventive music that takes cues from techno, IDM, acid and house. Lumidei is all wonky drums and out of time hits and is a brilliantly weird cut full of spacious atmospherics. Mynheer is built on a bed of broken beats, knocking hits and metallic textures that all tumble and fall around loosely and invitingly.

NOFACE – Warrior Charge [J102]

Creme Organization label off shoot Jericho One serves the second release, this time from NOFACE. This is a moniker of Mella Dee. Here he offers three new pieces that show a passion for high energy, lo-fi tracks with inventive grooves. ‘Saturate’ is littered with old school signifiers but is essential a brutal, high power techno banger with immovable kick drums, slithering percussive patterns and fiery vocal ad libs that imbue the track with a sense of afro-futurism. ‘Polar’ is a similarly physical track with massive, monstrous kicks, reverberating synth lines and a barreling sense of groove that washes over you like a braking wave. Finally, ‘Warrior Charge’ is another physical and functional cut with robust drums, oversized hi hats and woodpecker like hook that demands you stomp and head bang from start to finish.

BNJMN – Skur EP [J101]

Dutch powerhouse Creme Organization started a brand new label entitled Jericho One. The man behind the first EP is Berlin based Brit BNJMN. Opener ‘Skur’ is a hurried techno jam with frosty textures and bleak industrial vibes. It sets the vibe for the total feeling of the EP which is way more floor facing compared to BNJMN’s earlier productions. This is a truly out there and wild EP that once again finds BNJMN experimenting on the outer fringes of the techno world in his own unique, distorted way.

Simoncino – Amazon Atlantis [CRLP012]

Simoncino is back with another full length album, Amazon Atlantis, on Creme Organization. His vintage sound is one full of real emotion, and that is the case with this new full length. Simoncio turns on his machines and makes music every day, just for pleasure. Every so often he feels the time is right to release a new collection of material, and that time is now. There is no objective or particular message behind the album, it was simply conjured up using the Akai S 900 and the Emu Emax I drum machines as well as a Roland JX8P, a Korg PolySix a Ensoniq ESQ1 and a Yamaha DX7. Made at different times over an extended period of time in his home studio in Perugia, Italy, the album features two collaborations. The first is with Legowelt, “who besides being one of my favourite artists is a close friend” and the other is with Vincent Floyd, “a true legend whose records ‘Cruising and ‘I Dream You’ have left their mark on my life.”

Art Crime – Renessense EP [CR1286]

The mysterious Art Crime is back with a new EP on Creme Organisation. It is a four track affair that continues to showcase the producer’s knack for ravey, texturally rich house and techno sounds with a rather haunting edge. ‘Anxiety is Always Here’ is a high tempo stomper with spooky pads and jangling, energetic melodies that reverberate in a dark night sky. ‘The Owner’ is rooted on firm kicks and has dark, lo fi atmospheres percolating all around as paranoid stabs and gothic keys rain down from above. ‘Renessense’ is then a rather more stripped back and groovy, deeper cut with slithering and icy hi hat patterns and sombre bass notes. Still, it retains a trance inducing sense of freakiness before closer ‘Intention’ close out the EP in lithe, soulful and hi tek techno fashion.

IVVVO – Mark Leckey Made Me Hardcore EP [CR1283]

IVVVO - Mark Leckey Made Me Hardcore

Lisboa based producer IVVVO returns to Creme Organization with a new three track solo EP. Showcasing his unique take on analogue house, here he conjures up his most unique work to date, Up first, ‘Raised’ is a dishevelled concoction that sees organic hand drums rattling over heady kicks, with groaning vocals, ghostly pads and afro mutterings all adding to the intoxicating brew. ‘Our Journey’ is then an acid flecked, lo fi techno rave up with car alarms, barking dogs and white noise textures that all come over like an urban soundtrack as much as anything else. It’s captivating stuff that gets rounded out with ‘0000’, a slurred, smeared bit of ambient with awkward key progressions, wordless vocals and tons of crunchy texture. Few people sound as idiosyncratic as IVVVO and this EP proves that in spades.

Lake Haze x IVVVO – #1 [CR1282]

LAKE HAZE/IVVVO - #1

Creme Organization turn to the mysterious IVVVO and Lisbon producer Lake Haze for a new single that comes backed with a remix from label regular Legowelt. The single ‘#1’ is a hard hitting but fuzzy, misty and hugely spacious house track with deep jacking drums, haunting synths spiralling all around and freaky voices buried deep within. Hugely atmospheric and lovably imperfect, it then gets remixed by Legowelt. His version of the track flips it on its head, strips back some of the white noise fuzz and reimagines it as a driving techno cut with impish chords, retro arps and high pressure stabs. It’s a peak time bomb and ensures that this release is a high impact one indeed.

Photonz – Gnosis Of Wolfers [CR1281]

Photonz, Portugese producer based in London Marco Rodriguez, makes his debut on Creme Organization. His first cut, ‘Gnosis Of Wolfers’ is a raw, knackered sounding house track with glassy melodic tension and slow-jack drums. It’s intense, multi-layered and nervy and keeps you engaged from start to finish. ‘Ceremonial Acid’ is then an airy, spacious affair with heavenly pads and gurgling synths and drums. Loose but atmospheric, it’s a fulsome track that really places you in the middle of Photonz’s sound world. ‘Sad Mania’ is another misty sounding cut with watery droplets, aqueous textures and ramshackle drums rattling below, before ‘Filterhatz’ is a slow and sludgy acid offering with sharp hi hats, filtered 303 lines and lots of wobble. Lastly, digital only track ‘Basik’ rounds out the EP in brooding fashion, with big retro synths, percolating drums and pinging percussion.
