Superb Deep House from Kim Brown, making her (his?) debut on the boutique Berlin imprint, Just Another Beat. Elegantly paced and carefully arranged, Brown’s first outing makes a strong impression. ‘Camera Moves’ sounds like The Burrell Brothers making out with Sven Weissmann, while ‘This Will Like Never Be The Same’ hits a hazy, nostalgic vibe with lush Balearic Boogie infusions.

He’s evidently down for a boogie this time, pushing the tempo up slightly for the swing-jacking, swirling and seductive Chicago-meets-Detroit drive of ‘Justfixit’, while ‘Nj Turnpike’ offers some beatdown contrast for the deeper corners of the night.
