Red Laser Records switches on the smoke machine and strobe light, dishes out the high grade poppers and continues with the most unprofessional approach in the biz as they celebrate their FIFTIETH fuckin’ release – a double disc photon torpedo diving into the label’s roster and featuring all new tracks from RL stalwarts across the ages. Marking this half century milestone, their in-house graphics team have been on a strict diet of kryptonite and engine oil, conjuring up one of the most lavish (and budget destroying) gatefold sleeves to date; alongside personal insights (and an in-depth cigar review) on their 13 year journey from label heads Il Bosco and Pharaoh Brunson.

Les Yeux Orange launched a new serie of edits called the NameYourPrice Edits.
As the name says it all, these edits are free download. Some edits are from quite obvious tracks, others from complete obscure sources. This package includes 6 edits from Aaron Maple, Curses, Franz Scala, Hysteric, Leonxleon and Nathan Joy.

Comet presents the first release from the new Disco Highlife series, featuring remastered originals by Ghanaian legends Ebo Taylor and Pat Thomas and disco reedits by LeonxLeon and Leo Nanjo.

French duo Too Many Cars are launching their own label Too Many Cars Records in order to release the finest House, Italo, Breakbeat and Acid music. Side A is all about House and Breakbeat stuff while Side B shows off Italo’s huge comeback in modern DJ culture.

After dropping several tracks for the collectable Red Laser EPs Leon x Leon exports four monster jams melding metallic disco with slo-mo italo & breezy electro-funk.

Flemming Dalum is back with a fantastic Italo remix of Sally Shapiro’s fantastically titled track. With some great backing synth from Kid Machine he has created an amazing Italo Disco tune with a great pop sensibility that makes it so simple and catchy you will be whistling it all day. Addictive Italo pop for dancefloors The Manctalo revolution continues with Manchester’s own Chris Massey and Italian DJ Rocca who bring this chug thud Italo floor bubbler to EP5. Its glittering intro floats through the cosmos with a euphoric flavour and is brought back into a big bang bass line for a great Italo Disco dancing experience. After his Red Laser debut on EP4 Leon x Leon is back with a clickety clack. This train journey inspired Italo Disco sees the Parisian producer get even more progressive and sophisticated with his music ideas resulting in this amazing 6 minute disco epic. Label Head Il Bosco imagines the soundtrack to a world taken over by decaying zombies. They must kill humans so they can eat brains in an attempt to satisfy their never ending hunger and when they have finished eating they enjoy dancing to sounds played by their favourite local Italo Disco DJ. It’s a moody electronic beat heavy horror jam that fills the room with creepy electronics and sweeping delays.

To say Tony Carrasco is a bit of an italo legend is a fukin understatement. He is responsible for some of the most seminal Italo records producing Klien & MBO, Ameresie, Flash 83, Gaz Nevada, Plastic Mode and BFunk. Then take Red Laser Man and Italo legend Flemming Dalum and stick him on the remix and POW!!!!! The result is one of the heaviest tracks on Red Laser to date.
