Domenico Crisci – Ceremony EP [EE007]

The Italian uprising techno producer Domenico Crisci lands on fellow italian Marco Shuttle’s label Eerie with some serious, 909 driven, stripped down techno biz’. No matter how pretentious it might sound these are tracks that gravitate quite comfortably in a Mills-esque kind of orbit but they somehow also remind of early Downwards brutal material. Label boss Marco Shuttle features in the EP with a remix of one of the tracks (Lash) bringing the original into a more broken, abstract and dark (of course) territory.

Marco Shuttle – Visione [EELP001]

Marco Shuttle releasing his first solo album ‘Visione’ on his Eerie label. ‘Visione’ is a cohesive and compact work, which draws on Shuttle’s design background to unfold an audio narrative with a strong aesthetic approach. With a more abstract sound than his club-focused records, ‘Visione’ retains a cinematic scope while maintaining a common texture of sound throughout the tracks: the detailed productions were created with mainly analogue equipment with meticulously modulated oscillators, creating tracks that are by turns psychedelic, cosmic and sinister

HINODE/EDUARDO DE LA CALLE/333 - The Primates #01

The Monkey Bar has proved to have no boundaries music-wise. This composition of tracks pictures a state of mind, a bridge between the past and the future. A selection made by producers that can speak with the heart, the mind and the soul. The Primates #01 is a great techno EP with tracks by Eduardo De La Calle, Hinode, 333 aka Alfonso & Diego Gamez and a Marco Shuttle remix.

Marco Shuttle – Sing Like A Bird [T2X023]

Time To Express presents its first release of 2014 with a stunning appearance by London-based Italian Marco Shuttle. Sing Like A Bird is a gorgeous, hypnotic techno anthem. Stretched out over almost 12 minutes, the track’s lean groove teams up with a stunning vocal line. The listener is taken by the hand, slowly directed towards a high-flying crescendo. Peter Van Hoesen’s remix takes the existing framework of the original and adds a dose of psychedelica to it. His interpretation emphasizes the trancy, hypnotic aspect of Marco’s track. Several synth lines take turns twisting and shifting in and out of the mix, leading up towards a great buildup.

Vape / Vulcano – Muscle 002 [MUSCLE002]

Vape is the new Italo-techno project of the Riviera band. Their first tracks range from the charming pop womanly appeal of “Antonello” to the pesticidal harshness of “Raid”, across the gross provincial anthem “Radioactivo”. Vulcano is the joint venture of Marco Shuttle and Perseus Traxx with the Vape manufacturers at the Brenta Studios. Their poisonous bits sprayed on this 12″ are the state of the art in pest control. These cats are really pushing things forwards here, the B-side especially is some out-there sonic manipulation. “Ugly Faders” reinforcing the feelings one might get if trapped in a malfunctioning space station. “Vulvano” continues the anti-gravity aesthetic and smudges the whole thing in a thick acid wash.

Marco Shuttle – There’s No Point… That’s The Point [EE002]

Second installment on Marco Shuttle’s EERIE is again a 2 tracker by himself. Sticking to the deep cinematic hypnotic signature sound that has trademarked all his work so far, the London based Italian producer delivers 2 long journeys of deep, dubby, Detroit flavoured EDM. Both tracks have a subtle progression, building up gently from an intro initial part to a more ”dramatic” core through very subtly arranged and modulated layers of sounds and subliminal melodic elements.
