Positive Centre (Mike Jefford) brings his unique submerged electronics to Sigha’s label for 007 with his ‘An Assembly’ EP, fusing detailed sound design and acute attention to spatial sonics with a throbbing low end. This release is a departure from the label’s usual tempo but the palate remains the same. One for fans of deep, immersive techno or those who just want to get lost in the dark…

Truss continues his recent run of form with a 12″ on Our Circula Sound that demonstrates the depth and breadth of his palate. Auden’s slow burning groove and metallic dub call to mind Silent Servant’s Historia Y Violencia imprint, while Splot’s distorted kicks and frantic pace blur the lines between Truss’ sound and his current MPIA3 project. A huge MPIA3 remix of Beacon takes over the B side for maximum acid damage.

Shifted – Sickness By Means Of Clairvoyance [OCS005]

Shifted makes a welcome return to Our Circular Sound. The four tracks EP don’t deviate from the established Our Circular Sound template, at times channeling the same intensity and single minded “heads down” momentum that ran through much of Crossed Paths, Shifted’s debut LP for Mote Evolver. “Chapter” sets the grainy tone, locked grooving from the off yet slowly introducing extra rhythmic wallop and minute textural details that keep its head well above mere DJ tool. “Feeding” provides some brief yet ominous respite before launching straight into late 90s Downwards functionalism of “Aun Weor” and “Unveiled”.

Sigha – OCS001 [OCS001]

Inspired by the creative freedom found In Berlin, and fused with a classic UK aesthetic, Sigha’s ‘Our Circula Sound’ project represents his growing immersion in the more spacious and abstract realms of Techno. Dark, introspective and hypnotic, the labels output will mirror the sound that Sigha has become know for, with his obsession for detail clear through out. The first release includes an original track from Sigha and a remix from Marcel Dettmann.
