Fossil Archive rolls with its 4th release. With Fossil Archive’s previous release featuring as “Tune of The Month” on Mixmag’s Techno Page, this next two-part ensemble sees two very different tracks (‘Calyptraphorus’ by Voiski & ‘Velatus’ by Roberto) leave you with little doubt that Fossil Archive remains inspired to be at the forefront of all things techno.
For the second release on Roberto’s new Fossil Archive imprint, he teams up with Artform’s Jamie Anderson. ‘Billingsella Corrugata’ is an intensely catching, beatsmart roller coaster of nimble basslines and 4/4 muscle power.On the flip side, ‘Corrugata’ has plenty of grab, nurturing a deep, melody-fractured trip through machine-made music.
Rismu’s “MST (The Plant Worker rmx)” focuses on functional beat patterns until the chords breaking into. On with a dub techno interpretation of Advanced Human’s “Open Air” by Joachim Spieth. On the flipside we’re happy to introduce Exos from Iceland (known from Thule, Force Inc. & Mosaic) with “Stargate 7”. Massive subs meeting cloudy dub chords. “The Zenith” from Roberto & Chris Page is closing this 12”, by the way, it’s their first cooperation tune appearing on Affin.

Roberto on Affin. The title track deals with straight beats but integrates warm chords, what a great mixture of techno & house. On with a gorgeous dubby and sub bass-branded Unbalance “First Principles” remix. “Silvertown” represents a Roberto typical high-class chordish techno track while “Going Fast Nowhere” is working on a drum sequences combined with pitched vocals.
