The original Adventures in Techno Soul compilation was released back in 1996 with remixes of Ferox tracks from the likes of Derrick Carter, Carl Craig and Kenny Dixon Jr. A full 16 year’s after its follow up “Further Adventures in Techno Soul” comes this 8 track album of new and unreleased material on double vinyl from 8 different and exciting artists. Ferox is proud to welcome established and respected producers such as Fred P and Germany’s Move D to the roster, as well as a welcome return from Affie Yusuf, Nebraska and Bush Funk (Steve O’Sullivan and Winlord X) who were last seen on Soma Records back in 1996. The label is also proud to introduce two new artists, Darren Harris and Spain’s Hoax Believers who alongside label boss Russ Gabriel round off this package of soulful electronica.

New Aubrey release on the long going Ferox label. Following up his earlier Ferox releases he drops two sweet cuts on this techno jazz fuelled 4 -tracker. Label head honcho Russ Gabriel, Hans Thalau come with the remixes.

Flipside Russ Gabriel drags ‘She Moves’ down a gear with a submerged overhaul of ‘She Moves’, and ‘Tunnelling’ digs rolling, offset bass gyrations and trippy chord modulations for the late night crew.

Lee Holman delivers the second Kawl release, featuring some stripped back techno. Firing percussion and insistent, rolling drums provide the basis for a searing acid line and eerie strings lead it to a dramatic climax. On remix duties we hind Elliott Dodge and Russ Gabriel.

We are delighted to welcome the mighty Russ Gabriel to ever expanding Dieb family and have him contribute this excellent 3 track ep to our catalogue. Fans of Russ’ sound as well as the uninitiated will not be disappointed here as there is a very wide stylistic audio palette on display here-yet still retaining Russ’ quintessential production aesthetic and quality. Ranging from the epic, old school “Returning Home” with it’s haunting pad and melodious bass arpeggios to the stripped back chugging tech house workout of “Push It Along” and the futuristic, techno-infused “Narita Express” with it’s modulating stabs and catchy, repetitive bassline it is easy to see why Russ is and has always been considered a unique and exciting music visionary equally capable of creating harmonic, atmospheric soundscapes or high energy, functional beats aimed squarely at the dancefloor.
