Vakum with this third instalment, featuring the undeniable talents of none other than The Shake Up Connection, Scott Ferguson, Homeboy and Lerosa.

Third Ear’s Detroit Beatdown series was instrumental in redefining the perception of Detroit electronic music abroad. Now we come to the final Detroit Beatdown release. Four Detroit artists giving us as good an ep as any of the releases in the series. The tracks by Mike Clark and Rick Wade rank amongst their best, for sure. DJ-T1000, a Detroit producer and DJ known for some of the city’s hardest Techno, surprises with a stripped-back groove that is pure electronic Funk. Wrapping up the ep is Scott Ferguson’s A Groove, a heavy skanking groove with that classic Beatdown rawness.

“Straight from the Mahogani Music camp, Joy Of Sound are back with another deep detroit vocal house single that includes mixes by Black Boxx & Scott Ferguson…”

Ferrispark Records present a new release from Scott Ferguson. On ‘Alright’ heavy bass and beats eventually mutate into a smooth late-night house jam, with a Kenny Dixon Jr sample. Side B is laced with chatter, cheers, and claps, accompanied by chords, strings, sub-bass, and disco loops.

Luv Jam, Maxim Lany, Katorski, Scott Ferguson are the peeps doing good here! Lany Records with its 2nd release! On the a-side warm vocal house with a jazzy vibe. On the flip deep, darker, menacing dancefloor grooves.

Detroit influenced deepness from Ferrispark label head Scott Ferguson. Two seductive mixes of ‘Sweet To You’ plus two more head-nodders.

We can only guess of who’s behind the second installment of the Midnight Hours 12″ – we only retrospectively found out that Rick Wade, Nick Holder & Scott Ferguson we’re all involved in the first one. The aural clues are quite promising… Upbeat and occasionally jazzy house with a strong whiff of Detroit about it.

Ferrispark Records has always been known for its devotion to unique and soulful releases heavily influenced by the deep sounds of Detroit and Chicago. Carrying on in the same manner is Scott Fergusons, disco and deep house infused, ‘Midwest Born & Bred EP’.

The first japanese artist on Quintessentials, Ryo Murakami, who already released on Dessous, Pokerflat and soon on Mule Musique. The flipside offers the more than 11 minutes long “Lunch Of God” remix by Scott Ferguson adding more club feel plus a superb lil bonus track by Ryo Murakami himself.

Special house 12 inch , includes exclusive tracks by Rick Wade, Nick Holder and Scott Ferguson!
