Hilltown Disco celebrate 5 years with a star-studded compilation of artists that have featured and helped shape the label over the past half decade. On the A-side of the vinyl we find w1b0, Wibo Lammerts who sadly passed away during the production of the record, and Ole Mic Odd, who offer crunchy, dark electronics, perfectly sewn together, producing two future classics, with their bass-heavy electro. Flip to the B-side and the record ups tempo, with the first track from Larionov & St. Theodore that showcases their slick, punchy electro productions, followed by a spiraling, hypnotic, machine-funk weapon by PRZ. The record finishes with Robyrt Hecht’s stripped-back electro track with classic Hecht, signature, captivating vocals.

The fourth release for this Brussels-based organization (Label Deviate records and Deviate parties) run by False Identity, featuring 4 cuts from Meshes, Magnus Opus, St. Theodore and Machino.

Rotterdam Electronix returns with the long awaited follow up on Larionov and St Theodore debut release ”Bleak Warfare” from 2019. Acid Ride 101 is another great collaboration of the Electro purveyors. They continue where they left after their Thunderstrike Ep on Cragie Knowes causing havoc amongst dancefloors worldwide. They proof to have the ability to make a strong remix of their own original cuts.

Science Cult’s Occupants series is now on Vinyl for the first time and with version 1, assembling a global array of artists, presented as a double 12” Orange Color Vinyl LP. Astute observers may notice that there is more to the artwork than meets the eye. We find ourselves in a distant future where the remaining population of Earth is ruled by a mysterious A.I. that calls itself EVA. EVA has sent human-piloted research vessels to the farthest reaches of the galaxy to scout for potentially habitable planets and report any findings. These are the Occupants and they’re slowly awakening as EVA’s grip on their minds erodes.

Highly influenced by early 1980’s electronic music and classic 90’s trance, Emilio Van Rijsel from Lille, France, debuts on Italo Moderni with energetic Moroder-esque propelling bass lines next to epic synth patterns and hypnotic sounds. With “Tendre Furie EP”, Emilio van Rijsel offers a glimpse of the wide array of his influences, embarking us on a synthful romantic & melancholic journey, depicting the nostalgia of missed blissful raving nights.
Remixes duties fall to Raw Union man St. Theodore, who replaces those italo trance flourishes with the strobe-lit pulse of Giallo and master producer Daniel Monaco the layers of well-informed 80s synth wave sends us into another dimension with high energy vibes.

Hilltown Disco welcomes St. Theodore, Larionov & Sheepray to the label in a Russian affair. ‘Black Earth Strikes Back’ is a twisted tale of two-halves – the story of unrest, a battle of the dark, cryptic underbelly looking to overthrow normality, fused together with the outer-core of electro. Larionov and Sheepray stand for the A-side and take the reins with 3 tracks of warm bleeps, gentle electro beats with elements of sci-fi funk and aspects of italo. St. Theodore supplies the mechanics for the B-side with three tracks filled with murky, rumbling analogue bass, with piercing acid-lines seeping through. Music that is geared for the dancefloors of the future.

Italo Moderni brings Modernation Vol.1 it’s the first compilation on cassette and digital from 4. Another dimension of obscurities and eighties weird sounds, all focused on a new club era of madness and sad situations. Best moment to get some inspiration with the best wizards from our modern music life.

Larionov & St. Theodore team up for their 3rd collaborative EP for Craigie Knowes. The ‘Thunderstrike EP’ spans their signature sounds with extensive use of the Roland SH-101, TR-808, thunderous claps and snares layered with melancholic synthesis. A robust EBM / Electro record built to electrify dancefloors.

St Theodore presents his brand-new EP “Last Dance” on Clasicos Del Ruido. This is a slow, true immersion in cold and even sometimes frightening work. Minimalistic basslines, cold synthesizers, simplicity and accuracy of compositions cause aesthetic delight. The classical TB-303 sound takes to memories of raves in the buildings of former factories, where you always feel very far from reality.

Cold and sinister combat electro by Russian pourvoyeurs Larionov & St Theodore. Infectious analogue rhythms emerged deep down the hearts of these young souls. The Bleak Warfare EP presents five cuts with each their own desire for the dancefloors.
