In the face of the atrocities committed against Palestinians in both Gaza and all occupied territories the Jor­dan­ian label Dream­ing Live issued this fundrais­er com­pi­la­tion under the title ENOUGH!

All proceeds from this compilation will support Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah’s Children’s fund. Dr. Ghassan had volunteered extensively in Gaza throughout multiple crises. During this genocide, he worked in both Al-Ahli and Shifa hospitals. He was a survivor of the Ahli Hospital bombing which killed hundreds. His press conference outside of the hospital, surrounded by dead bodies, will be etched in our memories forever. He has now established a Children’s Fund which aims to treat injured children, rebuild the destroyed medical infrastructure, and establish a sponsorship program for 20,000+ orphans from the conflict.

Obliques and Atmospheric present their new album “Golden Apples of the Sun”. It is the result of close cooperation between Suzanne Ciani and Jonathan Fitoussi. The American electronic music pioneer has joined the French composer to sign a four-hand album around mythical synthesizers like Buchla, Moog and Ems. Mainly recorded in California, facing the Pacific Ocean, the white sound of synthesizers mixes constantly with the sound of the waves and wind. The music generated is directly blended with the surrounding elements of nature. It is both organic and live, hypnotic and rhythmical, powerful and dreamlike.

Improvisation on Four Sequences was performed live in quadraphonic sound on the Buchla 200e and the Animoog at Festival Antigel in Geneva, Switzerland on January 25th, 2020. This record is specially encoded to be played back in quadraphonic sound and is also stereo compatible. This is the first release in 25 years on Suzanne Ciani’s Atmospheric label, which focuses on her live electronic music.

Suzanne Ciani is a composer, recording artist, and pioneer in the field of electronic music. She is best loved for her fifteen albums of original music that feature her performances in a broad array of expressions: solo piano, piano with orchestra, piano with jazz ensemble and pure electronic. No matter the medium, Ciani’s music communicates the special intimacy, passion, and sensitivity that have become her trademark and prompted fans to buy over a million of her albums. The Seven Waves is Suzanne’s first album. She started recording it in 1979, finished it in 1981, and released it in Japan in 1982 on Atlantic Recordings.
