UK based lovers of all things Electro, Hybrid Collective have assembled their first compilation on Vinyl. Present are heavy hitters such as Arsonist Recorder, Ekata, Kim Cosmik, The Droid, Broken Joe and Science Cult’s Syrte with dance floor ready electro stormers.
Point Central is the first edition of a new compilation by Science Cult showcasing the intersection of Electro and IDM. Much like the classic French comic series that inspired the name, we aim to blur time and space into something new. The first compilation includes 12 tracks from Alleged Witches, Bless The Marcc, drøn, Fleck E.S.C, Kim Cosmik, L/F/D/M, Lloyd Stellar, Lord Jalapeños, Poladroïd, Serge Geyzel, Syrte and Visions Of Glosters.
For the penultimate volume in Science Cult’s space exploration-inspired Astra Spectra series, label boss Syrte has served up an EP from arguably Britain’s most decorated electro producer, Carl Finlow. The veteran studio buff delivers a quartet of stargazing excursions, where deep space electronics and sci-fi bleeps ride black hole chords, supernova bass and crunchy electro drums. Including a remix by label co-founder Syrte.
Science Cult’s Occupants series is now on Vinyl for the first time and with version 1, assembling a global array of artists, presented as a double 12” Orange Color Vinyl LP. Astute observers may notice that there is more to the artwork than meets the eye. We find ourselves in a distant future where the remaining population of Earth is ruled by a mysterious A.I. that calls itself EVA. EVA has sent human-piloted research vessels to the farthest reaches of the galaxy to scout for potentially habitable planets and report any findings. These are the Occupants and they’re slowly awakening as EVA’s grip on their minds erodes.
Part 3 of the ”Astra Spectra” series features the Berlin Electro duo CYRK with 3 intense and dark electro tracks. Rounding off the release is a remix of ”Human Mind” by Syrte.
