The annual unusual sounds gathering in Barcelona, the OMBRA Festival, will take place this year between 6 and 8 December. This will be the sixth edition and it will take place again at ENMASA, the former Mercedes-Benz factory, a location that perfectly embodies OMBRA’s essence of industrial aesthetics.
The former ENMASA factory (Empresa Nacional de Motores de Aviación) is probably the most industrial and gigantic architectural space in Barcelona, an emblematic building that forms part of the city’s rich history. Designed by the architect Robert Terrades, it is located in the outlying district of Sant Adrià and was built between 1940 and 1975 following the aesthetic canons of the modern and rationalist movement, which moulded its structure and endowed it with a sober and overwhelming magnificence.
OMBRA presents a diverse selection ranging from post-punk and minimal wave to EBM/industrial, electro, Italo and Synth, as well as ventures into experimental sounds and unyielding energy, creating a complete immersive experience. As happened in the previous editions, the festival proposes parallel activities offering a multidisciplinary creative experience for all audiences.
The musical proposal combines in the same line-up both legendary figures already established in the history of electronic music together with other new and surprising projects so that the balance between the two enhances the musical experience of our audience.
The line-up is remarkable rising up to the expectation, composed mostly of bands and live-act and some supporting local DJs. There are legendary bands like A Split-Second, High-Functioning Flesh, In Trance 95, Jäger 90, Most Significant Beat and Sixth June alongside well established projects like Cold Colors, Credit 00, En Direct, Interviews, L.F.T., Nightcrawler, OTTO, Raderkraft, Schulverweis, Staatseinde and interesting newer acts like Alpha Sect, Bound By Endogamy, Charlie, Kalte Nacht, PC World or Puerta Negra.

Looking forward for a great experience once more, bringing a big crew of friends from Romania, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands and UK.
