2024 Best Tracks part. 5 (of 10)

We start presenting our favorite tracks from 2024. More or less in a chronological order we present here the fifth set of tracks.

Outlaw‘ released on Nu Groove showcases Stefan Braatz’ timeless sound and genre-defying approach, his signature synth energy joining forces with vocals from Chicago house pioneer Harry Dennis.

Indonesian group Precious Bloom released a two-tracker EP on Rush Hour and the B-side track ‘Mojo’ explores the rhyme of voodoo witchery.

Mr. G with a return to NDATL Muzik and ‘We All Feel Something‘ whips the dancefloor into a frenzy with its strong percussion and G’ signature toms and congas.

Dreaming A Better World‘ is pure, unadulterated, deep house by The Italian Stallion aka Dj Soch. Warm pads, dreamy chords, jazzy keys, all over tough beats and driving bass lines.

Aspecto Humano’s owners with their project Florida Cancer focuses on EBM, New Beat to Techno and ‘Colony‘ with it’s chugging tempo, twang synths and slapping drums demonstrates that.

Steve Moore’s ‘The Blue Stone‘ is an electrifying tier into his take on dark wave, cosmic synth-scapes and pulsating electronic rhythms. Known for his adept fusion of retro-futuristic sounds, Moore crafts a narrative that unfolds with cinematic grandeur and emotional depth here. The rthereal melody is underscored by a driving bassline, creating a sense of momentum and intrigue, while more textured and raw pieces bring a sense of edge. Moore’s mastery of synthesisers is on full display as he manages to evoke a sense of mystery and ancient mysticism akin to its namesake.

All Nice Records, the new label founded in 2024 by João Caldeira aka Foreign and Gonçalo Salgado AKA Lake Haze, is one of the nices founds this year. In our second batch of tracks we presented ‘Let Them Know’ by João Caldeira new aliases Bobby Dreams. Now it’s time for Lake Haze with ‘Dune District‘, a lovely analogue drum track with some fizzing, bright melodies and taught bass notes.

X – Dance‘ by Discognosis is a disco-infused track with a cinematic flair journey, evoking imagery of movie theme songs from a bygone era. Wacked-out, psychedelic disco rework with added hardware drum machine and analog synthesis for maximum dance floor impact.

Unrealistic Expectations are back with Alan Harman’s ‘Friendly Fire‘, an excellent minimal synth jam from Montreal, bringing light to the city with one of the more prolific new minds. Dive into the underground side of the 80’s on a cosmic trip with almost psychedelic arps, crispy drums and deep meaningful vocals.

The Hungarian producer & DJ CT Kidobó has signed the inaugural Neuma release with highly emotional electro and hands-dirty drama of ‘Into The Zone’.

More to come. Stay tuned.
