2025 Best Tracks part. 5 (of 10)

We start presenting our favorite tracks from 2025. More or less in a chronological order we present here the 5th set of tracks.

Straight from the heart of the Scottish underground, Glasgow’s Lifeforms submitted their first offering to the world, ‘Downward‘. Gritty Acid meets synth-driven Electro in this collection of raw hardware jams.

Pride Or Die‘ is a fundraiser compilation released by Dalmata Daniel label in solidarity with Budapest Pride after the Hungarian Parliament rewrote the country’s assembly law clearly aimed at shutting down the Pride. ‘Flood The Zone’ by Dutch veteran Das Ding is our favorite track from the compilation.

Mr. Computer‘ sees two figureheads of Dutch electronics pay homage to the voice of electro disco, the vocoder. Figi and Luca dell’Orso team up to sing praise of a tool that has crossed genres and styles and give the little metal larynx deserved limelight on their own three track theatre. Rumbling bass is shot through with crisp snaps in the title piece, warbling vocals rising as keys dance in this wonderful collaboration. This is Luca’s second appearance in our 2025 Best Tracks, and the same goes for Bordello a Parigi.

Standout dance track ‘Some Lovin’‘ by Mystic Jungle features disco beats and body-moving grooves, with searing guitars, sultry saxophones, and layers of loved-up lyrics and call-and-response vocals that add to the magical motion. The tracks was released on the Neapolitan label Periodica Records.

Legendary Greek electronic pioneers, In Trance 95, had a release on Minimal Wave. This special EP features six vintage tracks recorded between the late 80s and early 90s at Airdawn Studio in Athens. ‘Eyes of a Killer’ features a stark, minimal synth sound, distinguished by hypnotic melodies, analog textures, and a futuristic edge.

German producer Elektrotechnik on the Electro label from Madrid, Gladio Operations. ‘Sigma‘ is a rogue track with light trance touches and an appropriate psychedelic bass line.

Classic minimal electro from Cubic remixed by Commuter. The track ‘I Travel’ has been transformed into a quintessential French electro piece, with its classic electro bass line, steady 4/4 kick, and layered strings.

Mystic Bill on Chiwax with ‘We Play Jazz‘, beautiful homage to the artists and music of the Windy City.

Solid Strings‘ is a timeless Chicago house tinged track from Stefan Braatz released om Moom Sound.

Closing this batch of 10 tracks is Dallas producer Gerard Hanson with his E.R.P. project. This is the second track by Hanson in our 2025 Best Tracks. ‘Telenovela’ casts off into the cosmos with solar winds gently blowing over kinetic drums and far-sighted celestial pads.

More to come. Stay tuned.
