Mysterious new label, mysterious new artist. Sound like a stripped down Levin Vincent production.

New Fachwerk Records release, two striped down killer Berlin flavored techno from label boss Mike Dehnert and Roman Lindau.

The third release from Zooloft, Contextualised in Monochrome is brilliant wax featuring dystopian visions, collapsing psychedelics and raw techno.

Boris Steffen aka Jichael Mackson strikes back after more then a 2 years break, releasing Plex Ep on Munich based label Ilian Tape.

Great full length EP by the THIRD SIDE, the infamous Berlin based team formed by Panorama Bar resident Steffi (Ostgut Ton/Klakson), Marieu (Restoration/Sabotage) and Lucretio (Restoration/Mixworks/DeepMoves). “Nyx” is an invocation to the primordial goddess of the night summoned with soul and machines, Nyx, rather than Chaos, is the first principle. All tracks are recorded live on dusky tape with no computer involved.

Excellent release coming from the juicy dusty tapes of Restoration Records. “Butsu” is a 4 track EP of powerful analogue electronic dance music without boundaries. This is the sound of the passion and the devotion to the House and Techno tradition from the underground scene of Berlin; it’s the triumphant march of the defenders of the vinyl.

Disco Nihilist’s music production rejects PCs decked with sleek software and infinite options. Instead he chooses to operate within the parameters of dated, hands-on music technology. This is not art made for the sake of process or equipment fetishism, but rather a real human interaction with the instruments at hand.

Second release on the Pattern Repeat Label is another collaboration between Kenneth Christiansen, Echocord label boss and Resoe. According to the label this is the sound of “modern” Berlin Techno, Dubstep and Dub-Techno all put together in the blender. Two tracks of dusty, underground techno that will appeal to fans of the Berghain sound – gritty to the bone and dubby in a indirect sort of way.

Tevo Howard is surely The New Unsung Hero Of Chicago House Music ! He is one of the few able to inject soul into a scene that is often at risk of sounding flat and two-dimensional. ‘Kisses from New York With Love’ and ‘Boing Pop’ are Warm and Emotional with a Raw and Hypnotic vibe. Authentic deep house with a touch of acid, rememberings of Phuture Trax, perfectly recreated by Tevo with the same kind of intensity as its inventors.

“Looked In The Studio” part 1 is out on Soulrock. The V.A. includes 4 warm house tracks for the summers that is coming fast. On side A, Steffi, the Panoramabar resident, is uniting forces with Baaz and delivers a perfect balance between the old and the new, the rough and the clean, at home or at the club. Completing side A is Ivel Tax, a 22 years old producer from Romania. He makes steady grooves that are bound to shake any dancefloor. Side B is welcoming the dutch masters, Dimi Angelis & Jeroen Search, to the Soulrock label. For this trippy track they plunge into the deep blue sea of dreamy chords and mesmerizing percussion, creating a mood that will set even the most grounded listener adrift. Duijn & Douglas provide a sensual deep house track, the perfect closing for this warm EP.
With a loose, frenetic synth line fluttering over deep, dry kicks and bass throbs, it is easy to compare the techno offerings of Baltimore’s Graham Hatke’s latest to the recent outpourings of Omar-S, or even a Theo Parrish joint from the early aughts. But there is an undeniable spaciness to Hatke’s sound palette that brings Michoacan or even Idjut Boys to mind, which sets it apart from its American influences in an interesting way.

New DJ QU. “Secret Place” is spooky, whispery, smooth as cough syrup, while “Circuit” draws from the acid tradtion, but takes is way deep into outer space..

New Clone! Literon returns! After his release on Frantic Flowers 2 years ago it has been silent… until now!

Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt aka African Jet Set Band aka Chicago Shags with one of the rare vinyl releases on his own Strange Life label! You can’t go wrong with this.

Jerome Derradji, owner of Still Music and Stilove4music, teams up with disco champion Rahaan for the first volume of Concrete Reservations. They sound like disco edits combined with original production, but the A side in particular is a smoking boogie jam that rolls out into some acid. Rough, rugged, and raw house and disco are what this is all about.

Allen Saei aka Aubrey has over 22 years hands on experience of the scene. Today he steps up with ‘High Pass Highway’ EP, a selection of sounds, all with that oldskool touch and feel.

Following on from his recent release on aesthetic audio (Detroit) Miles returns for his second offering on his imprint atmospheric Existence recordings… “The Causal Structure” EP takes in many shades of deep atmosphere, taking on a wide dimension of sound that steps out of the box to reveal an essential audio Document for the more discerning listener.
