New release by 3TH is a strong, dark-tinged techno EP from label’s owner Ascion. Starts with the mesmerizing Sci-Fi techno of “The Cybernetic Drama” culminates with “Xatatonic State”, an oldschool-fashioned hymn. Evocative IDM melodies of “Inhibitor”, approaching to the powerful and sinister bells of “San Gennaro”.

The third of M_Rec Ltd’s vinyl only Grey Series comes from Asma, a new collaboration between Ascion and M_Rec boss Max_M. Supposedly inspired by Dutch experimental filmmaker Frans Zwartjes’ 1968 short film of the same name, “Birds” offers some expectedly atmospheric techno; opening with tribal, rolling, warehouse-sized drums and foggy strings in the background, the track soon gives way to a heady concoction of bristling static and plucked textures played over a sonic void. Sandwell District alumnus Silent Servant’s remix is a stark contrast, pairing some vintage chord stabs, snare rolls and drum machine percussion to create a basement ready house jam laced with spectral atmospherics that is possibly one of the more club-ready tracks he has produced to date.

The debut release for the Repitch label, with three dark techno tracks from Ascion, D. Carbone and Shapednoise. A dark and heavily industrial sound takes the listener on a journey made of metallurgical plants and hypnotic post-apocalyptic scenario. On side A, we have one track signed by Ascion. A train sound that travels through dark landscapes, narrow and foggy. Side B opens with the track signed by D. Carbone . This time the train goes directly into the darkness ..sounds of the whip show that the punishment for those who listen will be heavy. Side B ends with the track signed by Shapednoise and now the train fell into nothingness! As a clock, the heavy rhythmic “breaks” marks the final minutes of a trip ..definitely ended up in the darkest part of the planet.

Max_M with an original on his own M_Rec LTD, a journey with a very deep sound, something that comes from his background, a walk through Detroit, Birmingham and Berlin. A rhythm that is not heavy, repetitive riff that nullifies any inhibitions. It’s definitely evil, it’s a reminder of the deep and pure techno. Remixes by Shifted and Ascion.
