VA – Nothing Matters When We Are Dancing Vol 10: Cosmic Hole [CDA010Y/COSMICHOLE]

Discodromo present a three-vinyl compilation to celebrate the tenth birthday of their Berlin party CockTail d’Amore. The compilation features the sound that best envisions the party and its evolution throughout its first decade. This vinyl features the sound of the Cosmic Hole, a room dedicated to downtempo psychedelia. CPI, the name behind Marc Pinol and Hugo Capablanca’s collaborative project, launches this record with a hypnotic acid ballad named Mount Anal: for a late night slow-mo dance experience. Synth-noir melodies are brought by two label aficionados, Juan Ramos and Kris Baha, while Honeysoundsystem’s Bezier journeys to a One Thousand and One Nights soundscape with his Starpoint.

VA – Nothing Matters When We Are Dancing Vol 10: Garden [CDA010Y/GARDEN]

Discodromo present a three-vinyl compilation to celebrate the tenth birthday of their Berlin party CockTail d’Amore. The compilation features the sound that best envisions the party and its evolution throughout its first decade. This installment features the sound of the Garden and its kaleidoscopic surges. Tornado Wallace’s contribution is a fetishized Italo-High-Energy adventure. On the same side the breaks of Greenvision’s Sleeping Bag In New York conjure a clubber’s hallucinations on a Sunday afternoon. Bell Towers and Bon Voyage nostalgically cover the flip side. The former with synth pop inspired ode to the this special dance-floor and the latter with a classic cosmic emotional composition.

VA – CockRing D’Amore 001 [CRDA001]

As Benedikt Rugar’s superbly illustrated cover art for the recent CockTail D’Amore compilation Nothing Matters When We’re Dancing proved, the Berlin collective proudly celebrate their status as a forum for Berlin’s gay community to fully express themselves. With no releases on the label since that compilation arrived in January, Discodromo and DJ Boris have now unveiled a sister operation with a focus on edits under the wonderful name CockRing D’Amore. The debut release features contributions from label regular Massimiliano Pagliara, the unheralded Trent and founders Discodromo.

Khidja – Never Seen The Remixes [EES019]

Coming hot on the heels of Khidja’s return to the label with their Never Seen The Dunes EP, is a set of remixes by friends and family of the label and band, featuring no less than Discodromo, Inflagranti, Red Axes and Selvy on mixing desk duties. A proper Remix EP with all 4 tracks from the original EP getting a proper European flavored rework.

Man Power – Trans EP [TOB049]

The anonymous Man Power makes his debut on Throne of Blood with the label’s first release in 2015. With “Trans” Man Power turns in a peaktime monster with soaring, frankly uncharacteristic optimistic rushes. Berlin’s Discodromo strips things down a bit delivering a version reminiscent of something that would have smashed up a Wicked party in San Francisco circa ’96. Man Power returns to familiar dark and driving analogue territory on the flip with “Blue Suite.” WT Records mainman Willie Burns closes out the 12” with tearing, arpeggio-heavy mix that pumps things up for the dancefloor.

With EPs for Sex Tags Ufo and Running Back causing a huge stir, Telephones goes even further, offering the beautiful Meditiranian house anthem that is Lotusland and comes backed with remixes from Discodromo and Gatto Fritto no less.
