Tony Price returns to Telephone Explosion Records with the new “Hit Piece” LP. The album is his first full-length since his 2022 release, “IBM CONTRA,” on L.I.E.S. Records, and the follow-up to the “Bail Bonds” EP on his Maximum Exposure imprint in May 2023. There are no lofty intentions or concepts here; this is music about action and movement. Eschewing the narrative-driven structures of his previous albums, Tony shifts his focus to the groove, reducing dance music to its rawest textures and core principles. Fabio Monesi – Piano Vandals [LIES198]
Italian House Music producer, Fabio Monesi, delivers a smoking 8 track double LP of old school bombs for L.I.E.S. Records. You’d be forgiven for thinking these were produced in the ’80s as all the classic and authentic elements are intact; catchy Yamaha DX basslines, crunchy TR-707 and Juno strings. Eight cuts all primed for the disco tech and nights of pure hedonism. These tracks go right back to the essence, hitting the full spectrum with stripped back classic New York and Chicago House cuts that wouldn’t seem out of place in a BMX or WBLS mix from back in the day. Catchy dx basslines, slammin reverb drenched drum programming, and deep strings are on order for this one.
Viewfinder / Sasha Nevolin – The Intercostal EP [RESCAN02]
‘The Intercostal EP’ marks Viewfinder’s second release on Rescan Records – he offers three danceable analogue tracks in line with the label’s distinctive style and sound. The EP comes to a strong close thanks to ‘Hempus’ – a looping, club-ready track from Sasha Nevolin, the first guest producer on the label.

Chicago house artist Boo Williams returns with his famous signature sound that is full of party but never short on class. His chunky drums are always the foundational element and they come embellished with superb synth work. This new EP on Pariter finds him lean into tech with the loopy acid squelches of ‘303 Effect’ keeping you in suspense, ‘Acid Smoke’ layering soft 303 lines into a punchy deep house cut and then comes the EP highlight, ‘Extension Time’. It’s a zoned-out roller with tender piano chords turning you inwards for deep reflection as the rubbery drums keep things moving.

Benedek – Southland Mystic EP [HM030]
For the latest release on his pleasingly nostalgic Hotmix Records imprint, house retro-futurist Simoncino has turned to Benedek, a Los Angeles-based producer who’s atmospheric, synth-heavy cuts sit somewhere between glassy-eyed Balearic house, mid-80s New York proto-house, deep boogie and Mark Seven’s more sun-soaked productions. He’s delivered a pleasingly strong EP too, with highlights including the subtly bleep sporting Paul Simpson-meets-Charles Webster flex of ‘Puffed Tribe’, the glistening guitars, glossy synths and sunset-friendly colour of ‘After Midnyte’, and the more spacey and psychedelic – but no less tactile and melodious – early morning shuffle of ‘Badlands Oasis’.
Gerd – Kosmos Tour [FOM015]
Frame Of Mind present the latest from Dutch producer Gerd. The EP it’s launches with the metallic drum chatter, analogue aesthetics and cosmic house bump of ‘Kosmos Tour’ before exploring lovely lazy deep house on ‘Red Girl’, dancefloor darkness on ‘Videophonic’ old school Virgo-esque Chicago sounds on ‘Fractalz’. Beautiful early Detroit-inspired House and Techno tracks. Yet another timeless EP from this master.

Its been 8 years of underground raves in Berlin under the Malka Tuti umbrella. In order to celebrate it they unleash a series of digital releases titled Tanzers. The idea is to release one of these small compilations every few months, in order to share some secret weapons from those parties.
