Lately, Levon Vincent has begun to serve up especially long tracks. At the start of the year, he delivered the 14-minute techno opus ‘Cyclops Trx’, following it up with two more stretched-out dancefloor workouts (‘Riding Alongside The Ocean’ and ‘So Good’). He’s at it again on ‘Enchanted Cosmos’, a 13-minute slab of deep space techno in which echoing, dub techno style riffs ride a sweaty drum machine rhythm and a driving, acidic bassline. Turn to side B and you’ll find the ‘Reprise’ mix, a stripped-back and even more mind-altering interpretation to adds glacial synth sounds and wilder acid lines to the long-serving producer’s heavy techno beats.
Bayetë returns with a second Native Dance edits sampler, teaming up this time with close friends and local producers (Baguette, Miraa., Probably Sean, Uma) on four dancefloor-ready edits roving over luscious chanson, quirky downtempo, and sun-soaked italo-pop.
Assortment of 3 trippy chugger downtempo would-be-cosmic-hole anthems beautifully produced by Parisian scene Don Yousef Debbihi. Coming in through the clutch for this summers’ hopeful re-openings with Rec23 – what could have been the soundtrack to a new Akira sequel. Following with a never ending tribal K-hole trip. Ending with a beautiful atmospheric excursion on the B side, perfect for cleansing and setting up a dancefloor.
Larry Tee’s early work originally released in 1988 featuring mutated HiNRG Proto House sounds. Serious business faster borderline HiNRG on the A side with Pleasure Seekers, and then starting off the B side with slower fun samples sprinkled over solid 4 on the floor drum machine. Closing credits with a slower drama drenched urban soap opera ballad. One to keep in the bag all summer.?Original artwork by New York’s Tabboo!

Originally released on Volume and Tension in 1994, the ‘Duster’ EP was one of only two releases Toby Warren completed under the Hi Tech Criminal moniker, it has since gone on to become a rare gem of a record that swaps hands for princely sums. Klasse Wrecks makes the re-issue of the original tracks and an exclusive-never-heard-before mix of the title track. The 4 tracker harks back to a period in time when creativity and originality was at an all time high in dance music. The first LP since 2008’s ‘Corresponding Echoes’ on his Sacred Rhythm Music, Joaquin Joe Claussell arrives on Radio Slave’s Rekids for ‘Raw Tones’, a nine-track excursion through the sound of his exquisitely soulful house music. Exarde is an independent label from Moscow. Riccardo Buccirossi can be an example for many artists both musically and in terms of productivity. Co-founder of Imprints Records and the owner of Metropolita, Amazing Stories, and Elma Rivaga, he has composed 4 floor compositions under his new alias – Transcend∆nce. These compositions he calls “energetic and hopeful to dance again” and he definitely didn’t bend the truth with that statement.

Athens Of The North get themselves in party mode with a fourth EP from East Coast Love Affair. There is some series fun to be had in these tracks, with side one. ‘Confrontations,’ being a rebuild of a rare disco funk 45 by Homegrown Syndrome. On the backside is ‘Shake’ which goes deeper but still has plenty of dance floor appear. It has tropical perc and whirring electronics that just scream ‘dance’ while the actual screaming vocal reminds of Moby classic ‘Go!’ These are hefty tunes, rare as you like, but immediately accessible and high impact.
