“Today, we have computer software consisting of representations of a three dimensional interface on a two dimensional screen, being controlled by a third party hardware, emulating the sound of machines built twenty years ago, which were themselves built emulating the sound of a machine built thirty years before yet.” – Nate Harrison ‘Mass Confusion’ is about our struggle to understand and survive within this world and its illusions, keeping our own identity, desires and hopes up. Welcome to the mess.

The “legend” of Sir Joe, from Chicago to The Hague, 303 bass lines, Juno’s pads and big mama’s speech samples. Powerful and danceable pack made up by six jackin’ cosmic techno house tracks.

Land Of Dance presents a journey inside analog machines and science fiction movies. Two producers from different countries had split the release with their sounds and their musical attitudes. Lost SoundBytes is a Brussels Based young producer that develops an haptic music, diving sometimes into cryptic and anxious foggy areas through analog materials experimentations, as drum machines & synthetisers like Poly 61, AcidLab Bassline 3 , Wardolf Blofeld. Sebastian Swarm comes from Glasgow his three tracks are full lo-fi acid music, imprinted by a cosmic sight and chicago house’ quotes.

Jann is back on Land Of Dance Records with a new EP including four tracks full imprinted of his chicago-acid sound. Different mood shaped by mental attitude, electronic sound and power grooves. Pure analogue music coming from his machines. Andreas Gehm aka Elect Pt. 1 is present as remixer in this great release.

Second part of the “sold out” album “Finding Purpose” produced by the Dublin based artist Dave Hargadon, also know as the half part of the project “Slowburn”. Again house sounds from Chicago, Detroit and via The Hague with strong melodies and heavy drums.

Sir. Joe born in 1987 in America Latina, as teenager he moved with his family to London, during his studies (thanks to his crazy schoolmates) he felt in love with the illegal rave party and with the new school of electronic UK’s music. A quick step that turned him into a music producer. Sir. Joe shaped his sound mixing european and american styles. Old school chicanos’ groove and samples were restyled in the direction of the English and Dutch style. LOD is glad to present Sir. Joe’s debut… again five tracks of pure energy and soul mixed with few drops of acid.

Punknown is Orazio Bongiovanni, dj and producer from Italy. His tracks appeared on Jam Traxx Records. Since his childhood Orazio’s felt in love with Chicago and Detroit sound. Roland TR 606, 707, 808, 909, Roland TB 303, Juno 106 and Korg M1 are the ”weapons” which he uses to create his music. All the vocals are his own recordings, using vocoder and fx. He loves melodies, often introspective and never granted, he loves powerful rhythmics, he loves to transmit his mind and feelings through the music… He loves…. The EP is named as ”Heartbeat”…. His heart beats for the music.

“The Ghetto Slang” is the Land Of Dance Records’ first EP. Produced by Jann, French guy from Bordeaux, first release in his career. He tried to transcribe what Chicago and acid house mean for him. He’s used analog drum machines, effects and synthesizers like Miami, Juno 106 and Xoxbox. Collaborating with another french producer called Theorama, he decided to produce a powerful acid techno track, perfect for the dancefloor, that track, named “Die Tomorrow”, was chosen by Ricardo Miranda to be remixed. The Chicago house veteran realized his remix adding a touch of class and deep feelings to the song, a real pearl of the EP.
